DATING DEAN WINCHESTER HEADCANONS
Dean is the guy who'd pretend that he's the best in the entire universe, but he'll get nervous if he ever sees someone slightly more attractive than him.
He loves to watch movies with you, even more so if they're of his choice. Cuddling on the couch in the Bunker and watching a movie is his favourite evening activity, and he's constantly looking at your face throughout the movie to see if you like it or not.
Dean doesn't want you to accompany him on hunts, especially if the creature you have to hunt happens to be particularly dangerous, like a vampire or a werewolf.
He'll never try to control you, but he will get insanely protective of you and you have had many arguments based on that.
Arguments that almost always get resolved by angry sex or intense makeout sessions.
But for the ones that don't, you two eventually find your way back to each other.
He'll never admit it, but he loves it when you treat him with affection and give him flowers.
If it wasn't obvious, Dean is touch-starved, and you figure it out very soon into your relationship. You make sure to give him reassuring touches ever so often, especially in the times of stress.
Dean is very grateful for those touches, and keeps reciprocating the gesture, but in a much wilder way.
He is very possessive, and will glare daggers at anyone who stares at you for too long. Men who know him know how dangerous he is, and how well he can fight, so they stay away from you. But the strangers who try to look at you in any way other than respect, Dean will not hesitate to throw punches.
For all his playboy ways, he's extremely loyal to you. Will not even look at any other girl when you're in the picture. You're the only one he wants and needs.
Dean likes to pull pranks on you. They're harmless, obviously. He loves to see that adorable expression on your face when you don't know what's wrong when you're being pranked. Once you realise it however, it doesn't take a lot of time for that expression to go from adorable to angry.
You love to pull pranks on him as well, often teaming up with Sam to teach his older brother a lesson. Sam loves it, and though Dean pretends to be angry and offended, he's laughing on the inside.
Frequent rides in the Impala, especially when it's drizzling and a cool breeze is blowing. He just likes to go on long drives with you, no distance is too long with you by his side.
Dean tells you stories of his childhood, yes, even the bad ones. The good ones to get a good laugh while the bad ones for you to get more acquainted with his reality, to know who he really is.
He had taken a lot, and I mean a LOT of time to open up emotionally, it was extremely difficult for him to not be guarded at all times. But nothing is too difficult when it comes to you.
Now, he opens up to you and talks to you about how he feels, instead of hiding his real emotions behind corny jokes and sarcasm.
Whenever you get mad at him, he immediately gets to know and tries his best to make sure that you aren't mad, the process including more corny jokes but you learned to love them anyway.
Sam loves the way you have a positive effect on his brother, how you calm him down from both anger and stress, how you make him less reckless and more affectionate.
The most important thing however, is the fact that you make him less self-destructive. He takes a lot of care of you, but along with you, he has started to learn how to cherish and love himself as well.
You bring out the best in him, and he brings out the best in you.
You're his yin, and he's your yang. Both of you wouldn't have it any other way.

In The Lonely Shadows (2/2) Dean W.
Tumblr media
Summary: Crowely's always there to help convince you everything's going to be okay after Dean leaves with Lisa & Ben.
the first part of this was requested by my beloved wife @midnight-moonlight-and-mars sometime back in March.
Request: I've got a Crowley request! It can be platonic or romantic. It takes place the year Sam is resurrected and dean is living with Lisa. The reader was close with the Winchesters but after the fight with Lucifer dean abandoned the reader to be with Lisa and cas never answers ( unrequited love maybe?) so the reader teams up with Crowley and becomes like a bounty hunter for him for Lucifer loyalists.
A/N: It's technically not Crowley x reader since she's pining for Dean. Oops, but I hope you enjoy this all the same, my love.
A/N #2: people were rabid about asking me for a part two. So please, enjoy!
WC: 1.7K
Warnings: mentions of loneliness, and blood, the reader feels abandoned and unloved, crowley’s nice, dean returns. sassy & protective crowley
[READ PART ONE HERE]
Read on Ao3!
--
Dean watched as your chest heaved up and down with every breath you took. The wind was howling outside, with rain pouring down. He was only partially soaked, having run for cover under teh pitiful awning above your hotel door. A suitcase was tucked into one hand and a backpack filled with supplies slung over the shoulder. He'd wanted to say goodbye before he left. But he couldn't. He was a coward, after all. He'd had a few visits from Castiel and Crowley, neither of them saying a word about you.
Though, he asked. He hasn’t spoken a word about Sam, either. The horror of watching Sam fall into the pits of Hell with Adam devastated him. So he ran away. He ran away to the person who would get him away from the hunter’s life, Lisa and Ben. He played pretend for as long as he possibly could.
Until he couldn’t keep up with the facade anymore. All he did was think about you, and the life the pair of you could have had. He’d find himself hovering over your name in his cellphone but never pressing the call button. Oftentimes, he’s stay up late at night, while Lisa laid peacefully next to him sleeping.  He knew he couldn’t lie to her forever about what - or who - truly had his heart.
Oftentimes, when he dreamed, it was about you, your face and your hands wrapped tightly in his as you started behind him on hunts. Thats what he loved about you the most, how much you trusted him to protect you.
So months after he departed, he located you in this dingy motel, where rodents and garbage littered the parking lot, and a few street lamps flickered dangerously in this damned storm. He’d gotten a replacement key to your room, claiming to the sketchy old man at the kiosk that he was your husband and you didn’t leave the key outside for him. So, on the threshold of the hotel room is where he stood, his fight or flight response kicking in the moment he laid eyes on you again.
He hadn’t seen you in months, far too long. But not long enough to forget the way your cheeks puffed out while you were embarrassed or the way your hair always fell into your face when you’d laugh at his stupid jokes. He couldn’t forget the way you would shuffle into his warmth at night, either.
God, did he miss the way you infected all of his clothing with your perfumes.
He hesitantly stepped into the room, only to stop midway through in almost a panic. What if you moved on? What if you didn’t want to see him? What if you shot him? He wondered at that moment if you held any protection on you, or if you’d thrown all of it away.
But he took the chance anyway and stepped fully into the room, closing the door behind him quietly. He quietly toed out of his shoes and turned around before fully surveying the room. He couldn’t see any other person’s belongings in the room, so he assumed you were indeed alone.
Nervously, he tiptoed to the bed and studied your face for a long moment. He remembered everything about you-- your eyelashes, the dimple on your cheek. He wanted to reach out to you, nearly stopping himself as he felt his arm move without his command. He brushed his fingers against your cheek before he knew what he was doing and stepped back as your eyes had flung open in terror.
“Y/N,Y/N, it’s me, it’s Dean,” he said, reaching behind him for the pistol he always carried with him, though, he would never attempt to hurt you in any sort of way. “Hey, hey.”
“Dean?” you blinked through the darkness of the room. You must have been sleeping. Because you thought you heard Dean’s voice. And you thought you seen him standing mere inches away from where you slept on the bed.
Before he could get the chance to respond, another voice filled the room, a voice you’d come to recognize and acknowledge throughout these last few months.
“She doesn’t need you, Squirrel. She’s doing great without you.” Crowley’s voice echoed in the small room.
Pulling yourself into a sitting position on the bed, you wiped at your eyes before switching your gaze between the pair in front of you. Crowley had been watching you over the weeks, which you had grown weirdly accustomed to, so it was no surprise that he had appeared out of the blue. What had startle you, was the other man standing mere inches away from you. If you just lifted your arm a few inches, you would be able to clasp your hands together.
“You left her high and dry after Moose had fallen into the depths of Hell, where, mind you, he’s been shacking it up with Lucifer. You should hear the agonies and woes from him.”
You could see the agitated twitch in Dean’s cheekbones, even in the poor excuse of light shining through the cracked window curtains.
“But now, back to the matter at hand, hmm?” Crowley snapped his fingers, and the two-night lamps turned on, casting the room in sudden brightness that none of you was prepared for.
“How’s Lisa and Ben?” Crowley smirked as Dean looked entirely uncomfortable at the jabs. “Didn’t want to be a family man anymore, huh? Did she decide she didn’t want your baggage?”
“It’s none of your business, Crowley,” Dean quipped. He snuck a look towards you and almost melted at the sight of tears in your eyelids. He wanted to erase the heartbreak he had caused you. He wanted to erase the pain away from you.
He only wanted you to forgive him. He wanted you and only you. He wished he hadn’t run off after Sam had gone to Hell, but he was broken and insecure. He was scared that you would leave him as well, so he did the only thing he could think of doing at the time: He ran away.
He begged for Lisa to forgive him, and she did. She took him in immediately, even after he explained all that went down with Lucifer and Adam and Sam. She took care of him. And for a while, he could forget all the pain. He could mourn the loss of his brother in peace. But there had always been a hole in his heart that Lisa nor ben would veer be able to fill.
He hadn’t known it at the time until he had sat up the night before and wallowed in misery after having nothing but dreams and nightmares about you for months.
“No harsh words, Not Moose?” Crowley taunted as he took a step toward you, causing Dean to nearly topple backwards onto the bed you were still sitting on. “No quips? Nothing? What do you have to say for yourself? Because while you were playing house, I was left to pick up the piece of her broken heart! How noble of you.  Leave her behind to wallow in misery, and now what? You expect her to swoon because you're back? Pathetic."”
You never thought you would see the day when the king of hell would be red in the face at the Winchesters. But here he was, pointing a threatening finger in Dean’s direction while the other man looked like a kicked puppy.
You wanted Crowley to stop the insults at Dean. But the fact that he was protecting you in this way meant so much to you. You never knew how much Crowley actually cared about you.
"I bet she’s just thrilled to have you back. Nothing says 'I care' like a good old-fashioned abandonment, right?" Crowley scoffed.
“Crowley, enough,” you sighed as you finally pushed the duvet away from your body and stood up, causing Dean to look at you with hope. With your request, Crowley quieted down, though he didn’t cease the glare or scowl on his features. Ignoring him, you took a breath, taking Dean’s height in stride. “So, what? You show up at my doorstep and nearly scare me to death, for what?”
“I was wrong,” Dean swallowed, blinking slowly as tears piled against his eyelids. “I never should have left you the way i had. You were mourning Sam as well, and I was a coward for leaving you. I never once stopped thinking about you. I never once let you out of my mind. Lisa knew it, Ben knew it.’
“I’m not forgiving you, Dean.” you held your ground, even as you had to wipe the tears away from your cheeks. “How could I forgive you? Do you know what the hell I’ve been through? You weren’t the only one to lose a brother, you know? Sam was my family as well.”
He opened his mouth, only for you to cut him off.
“It’s been fourteen months, Dean—fourteen long, terrible months. I celebrated Sam’s birthday without you. I celebrated your birthday without you. Crowley was the only one to check with me. Do you know he saved me from death on numerous occasions? That could have been you.”
He looked utterly defeated at the mention of the birthday celebrations. He could only imagine you singing to yourself with some cheap cake and a gas station lighter, wishing for the family you once held as you blew out the candles.
“Dean, I don’t know whether to hit you, kiss you, or put a bullet in you.” you scowled, pushing past him to walk over to the bathroom to wash your face. Leaving the door open, you heard Dean shuffle around Crowley to get to you again.
“I can’t leave you, not again. Never again,” he watched your reflection as you grabbed for a hand towel and wiped the water from your face.
Glaring at him momentarily, you sighed heavily before turning around and leaning against the counter. “Crowley will kill me for this. But I can’t help but think that I’m still in love with you. We can talk more about this in the morning. I had a long few weeks, and I’m absolutely exhausted.”
Eagerly, Dean followed you out of the bathroom, barely noticing Crowley’s absence as he tucked you into the bed before he climbed in himself.

Quiet days ♡ Sam Winchester
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Moments like this were rare.
Moments where the world stopped for just a moment, and it felt like maybe, just maybe there was peace and quiet. Well, almost anyways.
You knew what awaited you when you woke up. You knew there would be a mew string of bodies, and other salt and burn or a demonic possession. But right now you were being selfish. You'd earnt it, or at least that's what you tell yourself in order to enjoy these moments.
Sam was still asleep, his arms tightly wrapped around your waist, his hair slightly messy, an imperceptible smile on his face.
It was rare moments like these that you longed for.
It had been almost three months exactly since you and Sam actually admitted how you felt about eachother. It was years in the making. But then one night after a particularly hard hitting case everything was laid out. You finally showed hom your cards.
And that was the fist time Sam Winchester kissed you.
His lips soft and delicate, trying to communicate everything that he couldn't say, eveything that was simply too much for words to convey. Years of longing and hope finally came to fruition.
It had been bliss ever since. Well, as much bliss as can be afforded on the road. But you had eachother, and that was all that mattered.
"What you thinking about?" Sam mumbled pulling you closer to him woth his arm tucked around your waist as he placed a kiss on your hair.
"Nothin'," you sighed, surrendering yourself to his embrace.
"Love?" The name rolled of his tongue as if he'd been calling you this his whole life, it still made you blush, maybe that's why he always called you love. "Talk to me, even if it's utter nonsense I still want to know what's going on in that pretty little head of yours."
You turned in his arms and looked him in the eyes.
"It's just, this is all I ever wanted," you paused, drinking in his early morning smile, "The white picket fence, kids and a dog, the perfect life, a normal career. All of it means nothing if I dint have moments like this with you. Moments of slow peaceful bliss."
His eyes softened as he began to smile.
"God I love you," he mumbled as he tilted his head to kiss you.
His lips brushing yours for just a second when you began to pull away.
He began to pout, gazing at you with his infamous puppy dog eyes that made you simply melt. "what?" He questioned, feigning hurt.
"Brush your teeth, you have morning breath." You commented, smiling ever so softly.
He rolled his eyes and groaned at your remark as his head fell back onto the pillows melodramatically.
"Five more minutes," he mumbled tucking his head into the cruck of you neck pulling you impossibly closer.
Moments like this may be rare, but they were one of the most precious thing in the world, second only to the brunet man who lay beside you and saw his whole world when he looked in your eyes.

Dean was in the best mood you’d seen him in in a long time. He was grooving to his music as the Impala cruised along the highway; having finally fixed his baby. “Whoo! Listen to her purr! Have you ever heard anything so sweet?”
You rolled your eyes. “You know, if you two wanna get a room, just let me know, Dean.”
“Oh, don't listen to her, baby. She doesn't understand us.”
Sam laughed. “You're in a good mood.”
“Why shouldn't I be?” Dean questioned.
“No reason.”
“Got my car, got a case; things are looking up.”
You hummed. “Wow. Give you a couple severed heads and a pile of dead cows, and you’re little miss sunshine.”
He laughed. “How far to Red Lodge?”
Sam responded, “Uh, about another three hundred miles.”
“Good,” Dean smirked, flooring it.
***
The sheriff you and the brothers talked to obviously thought the three of you were insane when you questioned him about the decapitations and cow mutilations. He ordered you to get out of his office, to which you agreed.
Needing another plan, you and the brothers headed to the hospital in your respective suits and dress. You didn’t miss the way Dean’s eyes raked over your body as you made your way into the morgue.
“Decorum, please,” you teased, swishing your hips as you walked ahead of him.
Dean walked closely behind you and read the nametag of the unsuspecting intern sitting behind the desk. “John.”
“Jeff,” he corrected.
“Jeff. I know that,” Dean chuckled. “Dr. Dworkin needs to see you in his office right away.”
“But Dr. Dworkin's on vacation.”
“Well, he's back. And he's pissed, and he's screaming for you, man, so if I were you I would—” he clicked his tongue and jutted his thumb behind him.
The intern looked terrified and ran away.
“Hey, those satanists in Florida, they marked their victims, didn't they?” Dean questioned.
“Yeah, reversed pentacle on the forehead,” Sam responded.
“Yeah. So much fucked up crap happens in Florida.” He handed you and Sam pairs of latex gloves and tugged on a pair of his own.
You pulled out a metal bed with a woman’s corpse laying on it and a box between her legs.
“Alright, open it,” Dean told Sam.
“You open it,” Sam protested.
“You guys are pussies.” You grabbed the box and took the lid off, unfazed by the sight before you.
Dean cringed at the sight of the head, saying, “Well, no pentagram.”
“Wow. Poor girl,” Sam said.
“Maybe we should, uh, you know, look in her mouth, see if those wackos stuffed anything down her throat. Y'know, kinda like the moth in Silence of the Lambs.”
“Yeah, here, go ahead,” you smirked, spinning the box toward him.
“No, you go ahead,” he rebutted.
“What?”
“ ‘Put the lotion in the basket.’ “
You rolled your eyes. “Fine.” You pried her mouth open and looked down her throat.
“Dean, get me a bucket?” Sam grimaced. “I'm going to puke.”
You felt around her mouth a bit more and found strange grooves above her gumline. You pulled her lip up and pressed just above one of the holes, and a fang descended. “Oh, this fucking bitch.”
“She’s already dead, (Y/N), relax,” Dean told you.
“Well, this changes things,” noted Sam.
“Ya think?” you and Dean asked in unison.
***
You and the brothers decided to go for a few drinks after the discoveries you’d made and pick up the next morning. You immediately felt a man’s eyes on you and uncomfortably shifted in your seat. “You pickin’ up what I am?” you discreetly whispered to Dean.
“Yeah, definitely,” he responded lowly, sitting on a barstool. “How's it going?”
The bartender answered, “Living the dream. What can I get for you?”
“Three beers, please.”
Sam began, “So, we're looking for some people.”
“Sure. Hard to be lonely,” the bartender smirked.
“Yeah. But, um, that's not what I meant.” Sam pulled a fifty dollar bill from his pocket and dropped it in front of the bartender, who took it hesitantly. “Right. So these, these people, they would have moved here about six months ago, probably pretty rowdy, like to drink—”
“Yeah, real night owls, you know? Sleep all day, party all night,” Dean chimed in.
“Barker farm got leased out a couple months ago. Real winners. They've been in here a lot— drinkers. Noisy. I've had to 86 them once or twice.”
You and Dean thanked the bartender for his help and continued to nurse your beers. After a few minutes, you and the brothers continued to feel the man’s eyes on you. On high alert, all three of you moved for the door and noticed all that was left of the man was a smoldering cigarette in an ashtray.
You and the brothers walked out of the bar and past the Impala to lead the man who’d been stalking you away. You rounded a corner and jumped out of the way so the brothers could pin the man who’d followed you to the wall. Dean held a knife to the man’s throat and commanded, “Smile.”
“What?” the man asked.
“Show us those pearly whites.”
“Oh, for the love of— you want to stick that thing someplace else? I'm not a vampire," he replied nonchalantly.
You frowned.
“Yeah, that's right. I heard you guys in there.” Even his voice was unsettling.
“What do you know about vampires?” you asked.
“How to kill them. Now seriously, bro. That knife's making me itch.”
Dean cocked his head and the man started to pull away. Sam pinned him down harder.
“Whoa. Easy there, Chachi,” the man said. He slowly brought his hand up to his lips and revealed normal gums. “See? Fangless. Happy?”
Dean let him up. “Now. Who the hell are you?”
"Gordon. Gordon Walker," he replied. "You?"
"I'm Dean. This is Sam; that's (Y/N)."
The man led you over to his car and pulled out an arsenal rack from behind his backseat. “Sam and Dean Winchester. I can't believe it. You know I met your old man once? Hell of a guy. Great hunter. I heard he passed. I'm sorry. It's big shoes. But from what I hear you guys fill 'em. Great trackers, good in a tight spot—”
Dean was on-guard. “You seem to know a lot about our family.”
“Word travels fast. You know how hunters talk,” the man explained.
“No, I don’t, actually,” you chimed in.
“You're a firecracker, aren't cha?” he asked. His somehow hauntingly melodic voice had you on edge.
You refused to respond.
“So, um, so those two vampires, they were yours, huh?” Sam jumped in.
“Yep. Been here two weeks.”
“Did you check out that Barker farm?” Dean questioned.
“It's a bust. Just a bunch of hippie freaks. Though, they could kill you with that patchouli smell alone.” You almost laughed at Gordon’s comment.
“Where's the nest, then?” Dean asked.
“I got this one covered. Look, don't get me wrong. It's a real pleasure meetin' you fellas. But I've been on this thing over a year. I killed a fang back in Austin; tracked the nest all the way up here. I'll finish it.”
“We could help,” Dean suggested.
“Thanks, but uh, I'm kind of a go-it-alone type of guy.”
Dean groaned, “Come on, man, I"ve been itching for a hunt.”
“Sorry. But hey, I hear there's a Chupacabra two states over. You go ahead and knock yourselves out.” He got down into his car and leaned out of the window. “It was real good meeting you, though. I'll buy you a drink on the flip side.” He drove off.
“He seems like a world-class douche,” you commented as you watched his retreating red car.
“Yeah, tell me about it,” Sam snorted.
“C’mon.” Dean started off to his car.
“Where we goin’?”
“To find ourselves a fang.”
***
Dean followed Gordon’s distinctive red car to a warehouse where you deduced he’d tracked a vampire to.
You rushed up the labyrinth of ladders toward the sounds of a running mill saw and the two men struggling. When you arrived at the scene, you saw Gordon on the verge of getting his head taken off by the vampire and the saw. You and Sam each grabbed a boot and pulled Gordon away from the vampire’s impressive strength. Dean attacked the vampire and replaced Gordon with him, lowering the saw to the vampire’s throat. You watched in concern as blood sprayed across Dean’s face, and he seemed completely unreactive.
“So, uh, I guess I gotta buy you that drink,” Gordon chuckled awkwardly.
***
You agreed to meet Gordon back at the bar you’d met him at after you cleaned Dean up. Sam went into the bar with Gordon to get a round of drinks started. You took hydrogen peroxide out of the first aid kit in the car and began to wipe Dean’s face off with it.
“I can do this myself, y’know,” he mumbled.
“I do.” You let a silence settle between you before you spoke again. “What happened to you back there?”
“What do you mean?”
“Dean, you got fucking scary back there. I’ve never seen you like that,” you explained.
“I was just excited to get back to huntin’, (Y/N).”
“No, dude, I know you. You’re lethal but never… cold. You’re worrying me,” you admitted.
“Well, don’t, okay? I’m fine,” he said, lightly pushing you off him and taking the towel from you. He finished wiping himself off and began to walk inside. You were hurt but refused to let that show and followed him into the bar.
***
Rounds deep of Gordon and Dean swapping stories, you and Sam were exhausted of the talk of blood, guts, and gore. Gordon soon circled back to Dean’s kill of the evening. “Dean,” he laughed. “You gave that big-ass fang one hell of a haircut, my friend.”
“Thank you,” Dean grinned.
“That was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.”
“Was it, though?” you questioned, ignoring the way Dean’s gaze burned into the side of your head and keeping your eyes locked on Gordon.
“You all right, sweetheart?” Dean asked you.
“Fine,” you responded.
“Well, lighten up a little, sweetheart,” Gordon jested.
“He's the only one who gets to call me that,” you immediately stated firmly.
He held his hands up in surrender. “Okay. No offense meant. Just celebrating a little. Job well done.”
“Right. Well, decapitations aren't my idea of a good time, I guess,” Sam chimed in.
“Oh, come one, man, it's not like it was human. You've gotta have a little more fun with your job,” Gordon said simply.
"That's what it is, though," you broke in. "A job. I enjoy it, but bloodshed doesn't exactly get my rocks off." You kept your eyes locked on Gordon, who stared back.
Sam sighed and stood up. "Look, I'm not gonna bring you guys down. I'm just gonna go back to the motel. C’mon, (Y/N).”
“You sure?” Dean asked the two of you as you stood.
The two of you nodded wordlessly.
“Remind me to beat that buzzkill out of you two later, alright?” Dean joked, throwing Sam the keys.
You walked out angrily and didn’t say a word to Sam on the way back to the motel.
***
“I don’t like that guy,” you muttered to Sam as you paced around his and Dean’s motel room. “I really don’t like vampires, but I really don’t like that guy.”
“Yeah, me neither. I’m gonna call Ellen; see what she thinks.”
“Good idea.”
Sam raised the phone to his ear. “Hey, Ellen, uh, Sam Winchester… Yeah. Yeah, everything's fine. Got a question. You ever run across a guy named Gordon Walker?... And?... Well, we ran into him on a job and we're kinda working with him, I guess…” His face suddenly changed. “I— I thought you said he was a good hunter.”
You watched curiously as he listened to another thing she had to say before bidding the woman goodbye. “I’m guessing she told you he was bad news,” you said once he’d hung up.
“Yeah,” he nodded. “Great.”
“Sam, I hate vamps more than probably anybody. But Dean was just… so… not Dean when he took the head off that one,” you said.
“I know. It’s buggin’ me, too,” he sighed. “I’m gonna go get a drink. You want one?”
“Just a water, please,” you replied.
Minutes went by, and Sam still hadn’t returned from the vending machine. You were beginning to get a little worried, but decided that maybe he just needed a second to himself. When ten minutes turned into fifteen, though, you really started to panic. You darted outside and looked over to the vending machine. Sam was nowhere to be found. You called Dean in a panic, saying, “Dean, Sam’s gone. I can’t find him anywhere.”
“What?! What the hell happened?!”
“I don’t know!” You ran a hand through your hair. “He just went to get a drink, and now he’s gone!”
“Well, maybe he just went for a walk,” Dean tried.
“No, Dean, he would’ve told me. What the hell is with you? Normally, you’d be flipping out by now.”
“Watch it, (Y/N). Hang tight. We’re on our way.” He hung up the phone.
‘We. Gordon. Fucking fantastic.’
***
When Dean and Gordon returned to the boys’ motel room, you clung to the back wall, feeling very uncomfortable around Gordon and Dean’s new attitude.
Gordon was discussing strategies on how to get Sam back with Dean— supposing the vampires you were hunting was behind this— when the man in question strolled through the door.
“Sam?!” you asked, pushing off the wall and running to him. You hugged him tightly around his neck. “Where the hell did you go?”
“Can I talk to you two alone?” he asked you and his brother.
“You mind chillin' out for a couple minutes?” Dean asked Gordon, who shook his head. You and the brothers exited the room and stood in the parking lot.
“Guys, maybe we've got to rethink this hunt.”
“What makes you say that, Sammy?” you asked.
“Where were you?” Dean questioned.
“In the nest.”
“What? You found it?” Dean questioned. Yours and his eyebrows shot up.
“They found me, man.”
“How'd you get out? How many'd you kill?” the older brother asked.
“None.”
“Well, Sam, they didn't just let you go.”
“That's exactly what they did.”
“No fucking way,” you said. “I know vamps, they wouldn’t do that.”
“Well, how do you explain the fact that I’m not dead, (Y/N)?”
You shrugged. “Good point. But what the hell, man?”
“Where is it?” Dean asked.
“I was blindfolded. I don't know.”
“Well, you've got to know something,” the older brother pressed.
Sam huffed. “We went over that bridge outside of town, but guys, listen. Maybe we shouldn't go after them.”
“Why not?” you and Dean asked.
“I don't think they're like other vampires. I don't think they're killing people.”
Dean laughed humorlessly. “You're joking. Then how do they stay alive? Or undead, or whatever the hell they are.”
“The cattle mutilations. They said they live off of animal blood.”
“And you believed them?”
“Look at me, Dean. They let me go without a scratch.” Sam held his arms out to either side of himself, encouraging you and Dean to examine him.
“Wait, so you're saying—” Dean cut himself off. “No, man, no way. I don't know why they let you go. I don't really care. We find 'em, we waste 'em.”
“Why?” Sam huffed.
“What part of 'vampires' don't you understand, Sam? If it's supernatural, we kill it, end of story. That's our job.”
“No, Dean, that is not our job. Our job is hunting evil. And if these things aren't killing people, they're not evil!” the brunet argued.
“Of course they're killing people, that's what they do. They're all the same, Sam. They're not human, okay? We have to exterminate every last one of them.”
“Dean, I’m with Sam on this one,” you finally said.
“Really, (Y/N)? You?” he looked at you stunned.
“Yeah, dude. I trust Sam. I hate vampires more than the next person. But I just don’t feel good about this hunt all around. I say we leave these vampires and Gordon in our dust,” you responded.
“Oh, so that’s what this is about,” Dean scoffed. “Gordon?”
“Why are you so defensive of him?” you questioned, voicing rising slightly.
“Because he’s been going after these things for a year, (Y/N), I think he knows,” he said.
“Sam called Ellen. She says he’s bad news.” You crossed your arms over your chest.
Dean looked at his brother. “You called Ellen?”
Sam nodded.
“And I'm supposed to listen to her? We barely know her, (Y/N). No thanks, I'll go with Gordon.”
“Right. ‘Cause Gordon’s such an old friend,” you scowled. “You think I can’t see what this is?”
“What are you talking about?” Dean grunted.
“He's a substitute for your dad, isn't he? A poor one.”
“Shut up, (Y/N).”
“Hey! Don’t talk to me like that.” You stepped closer to Dean, face set angrily.
Dean wasn’t backing off. “Then don’t talk to me like that.”
The two of you were in each other’s faces, angrily staring each other down.
“You know what? I'm not even going to talk about this,” Dean grumbled, turning away from you.
“I know exactly what you’re doing, Dean. I can see right through you. I know how you feel. I lost my dad, too. But nobody can replace him. That hole you’re feeling hurts; I know. But this isn’t what’s gonna fix it.”
He snorted humorlessly. “Okay.” He walked away from you and scrubbed a hand through his hair. He turned to his brother. “I'm going to that nest. You don't want to tell me where it is, fine. I'll find it myself.”
You followed him back into his motel room. “We are not done with this conversation.”
Dean went to respond to you but noticed Gordon was gone before he could.
“You think he went after them?” Sam asked.
“Probably,” you said. “Dean, we have to stop him.”
“Really, (Y/N)? Because I say we lend a hand.”
Sam chimed in, “Just give me the benefit of the doubt, would you? You owe me that.”
“Yeah, we'll see. I'll drive. Give me the keys.”
Sam gestured to the table where he’d set the keys earlier, but they were gone. “He snaked the keys.”
“Fucking awesome,” you grumbled, eyeing Dean angrily for his trust in Gordon.
Dean then had to hotwire his own car, cursing under his breath about how he’d “just fixed her.” “So the bridge, is that, uh, is that all you got?” Dean asked his brother as the three of you began to speed off.
“The bridge was four and a half minutes from their farm,” Sam explained.
“How do you know?” you asked.
“I counted.”
You smiled. This was another one of those moments where he reminded you a lot of Steven; he would've done the same thing.
The younger brother continued, “They took a left out of the farm, then turned right onto a dirt road, followed that for two minutes slightly up a hill, then took another quick right, and we hit the bridge.”
***
A while later, you and the brothers arrived at the farmhouse the vampires had been holing up in. You found Gordon circling a tied-up vampiress covered in scratches and her own blood.
“Guys. Come on in,” Gordon grinned at you.
“You’re fucking sick,” you growled, eyeing him dangerously.
“You wanna get a handle on your girlfriend there, pal?” Gordon said to Dean.
Dean ignored his comment. “What's going on?”
“Just poisoning Lenore here with some dead man's blood. She's going to tell us where all her little friends are, aren't you? Wanna help?”
Dean sighed. “Look, man—”
“Grab a knife. I was just about to start in on the fingers.” Gordon dragged his knife across her arm, cutting her deeply.
“Stop it!” you ordered.
“Hey, let's all just chill out, huh?” Dean said simultaneously.
“I’m completely chill,” Gordon responded coolly.
“Gordon, put the knife down,” Sam quietly pleaded. He went to step toward Gordon, but Dean held him back.
“Sounds like it's Sam here needs to chill,” Gordon scoffed.
“Just step away from her, alright?” you tried.
“You're right. I'm wasting my time here. This bitch will never talk. Might as well put her out of her misery.” Gordon pulled out a larger knife. “I just sharpened it, so it's completely humane.”
You stepped to block Gordon from reaching the vampire. “Gordon, I'm letting her go.”
Gordon pointed the knife at your chest, stopping you. “You're not doing a damn thing.”
“Hey, hey, hey, Gordon, let's talk about this,” Dean broke in, concern rising in his voice.
“What's there to talk about? It's like I said, Dean. No shades of gray.”
“Yeah. I hear ya. And I know how you feel.”
“Do you?” He turned to Dean, but kept the knife trained on your chest.
“That vampire that killed your sister deserved to die, but this one—”
Gordon laughed. “Killed my sister? That filthy fang didn't kill my sister. It turned her. It made her one of them. So I hunted her down, and I killed her myself.”
Dean’s awkward smile wavered. “You did what?”
“It wasn't my sister anymore; it wasn't human. I didn't blink. And neither would you.”
“Gordon, I had to do the same thing to my parents,” you said. “But my parents were trying to eat me. I think that’s a bit of a different circumstance than these guys who are just eating a few cows.”
“Then you should understand why I have to do this.” He pushed the tip of his knife into your chest, trying to get you to back up. You hissed in pain.
Dean immediately drew his gun and pointed it at Gordon. “Cut it out.”
“So you knew all along, then?” Sam continued provoking the hunter. “You knew about the vampires, you knew they weren't killing anyone. You knew about the cattle. And you just didn't care.”
Gordon chuckled. “Care about what? A nest of vampires suddenly acting nice? Taking a little time out from sucking innocent people? And we're supposed to buy that? Trust me. Doesn't change what they are. And I can prove it.” With no warning, he grabbed your arm and sliced it open. You yelped as he held your arm out with one hand and held the knife to your throat with the other. He shoved you toward the vampire tied up in her chair.
Dean cocked the gun and demanded, “Let her go. Now!”
“Relax. If I wanted to kill her, she'd already be on the floor. Just making a little point.”
“Oh, you motherfucker—” he held your arm over the vampire while you struggled, causing blood to drip on her face. She hissed, and her fangs extended.
“Let me go!”
“You think she's so different? Still want to save her? Look at her. They're all the same. Evil, bloodthirsty.”
The vampire controlled herself, though, retracting her fangs and turning her face away. You softened at the sight as Dean continued to try and intimidate Gordon.
“You hear her, Gordon?” Sam said.
The vampire was stringing together a chant of “No” over and over again, trying to control herself.
You kicked Gordon between the legs and worked your way out of his grasp when the knife moved away from your neck. “We're done here.”
“Sam, get her out of here,” Dean told his brother.
He did as told, and when Gordon tried to step toward him, Dean caught his attention with the gun. “Uh-uh. Uh-uh! Gordon, I think you and I've got some things to talk about.”
“Get out of my way,” Gordon told you and Dean, who both had guns trained on him.
“Sorry,” Dean murmured.
“You're not serious,” the man scoffed.
“I'm having a hard time believing it too, but I know what I saw. If you want those vampires, you gotta go through me.”
Gordon nodded, considering. He looked down at his knife and jammed it into the table. “Fine.”
Dean looked at the knife and then his gun. He pulled the clip out of his Taurus and set it aside.
“Dean, what are you doing?” you asked.
“Trust me on this one.”
You kept your gun trained on Gordon as he lunged at Dean. You couldn’t get a clear shot as the two of them rumbled around. You couldn’t lie, they were pretty evenly matched in hand-to-hand combat. Gordon grabbed his knife again and held it to Dean’s throat. “What are you doing, man? You doing this for a fang? Come on, Dean, we're on the same side here.”
“I don't think so, you sadistic bastard.”
Gordon threw Dean across the room.
“Hey!” you said, cocking your gun. “Back off!”
“Stay out of this, sweetie,” Gordon told you before turning back to Dean. “You're not like your brother. You're a killer. Like me.”
Dean kicked Gordon down and hauled him up against the wall before elbowing him between the eyes. He pinned him under his elbow and slammed his head into another wall. “Oh, sorry.”
You chuckled despite the situation as you and Dean began to tie Gordon up.
“You know, I might be like you, and I might not. But you're the one tied up right now,” Dean monotoned down at Gordon. He turned to you when he seemed to come back to reality. “Are you okay?” He put his hands on either side of your face and tucked your hair behind your ear.
You nodded. “Fine.”
He grabbed your arm gently and looked over the cut Gordon had given you. Dean sucked in a breath through his teeth. “I’m gonna take care of that.”
“Dean, you don’t have to—”
“Yeah, I do.” He took a deep breath. “You were right.”
You gave him a lopsided smile. “I know.”
He rolled his eyes. “I’m trying to have a moment with you here,” he smirked.
You just smiled and looked down to the floor. “I know. Thank you.”
Sam came back into the room. “Did I miss anything?” he asked, noting Gordon tied up.
Dean shook his head. “Nah, not much. She get out okay?”
“Yeah. All of 'em did.”
Gordon groaned as he came back to.
“Then I guess our work here is done. How you doin', Gordy? Gotta tinkle yet?” Dean snarked, making you giggle.
Gordon just glared at him.
“Alright. Well, get comfy. We'll call someone in two or three days; have them come out, untie you.” He jammed Gordon’s knife into the table behind him.
“Ready to go, Dean?” Sam asked.
“Not yet. I guess this is goodbye. Well, it's been real.” He hit Gordon straight across the jaw, knocking him to the floor. “Okay. I'm good now. We can go.”
As you exited the farmhouse, you grabbed at your arm that suddenly began to sting.
“I wish we never took this job. It's jacked everything up,” Dean lamented.
“What do you mean?” Sam asked.
“Think about all the hunts we went on, Sammy, our whole lives. What if we killed things that didn't deserve killing? You know? I mean, the way Dad raised us—” Dean trailed off and shook his head.
The younger brother’s expression softened. “Dean, after what happened to Mom, Dad did the best he could.”
“I know he did. But the man wasn't perfect. And the way he raised us, to hate those things; and man, I hate 'em. I do. When I killed that vampire at the mill, I didn't even think about it; hell, I even enjoyed it.”
“You didn’t kill that girl, though,” you pointed out.
“No, but every instinct told me to. I was gonna kill her. I was gonna kill 'em all.”
“Yeah, Dean, but you didn't. And that's what matters,” Sam reminded him softly.
“Yeah. Well, 'cause you two are a pain in my ass,” Dean grunted.
“Guess we might have to stick around to be a pain in the ass, then,” the brunet smirked.
“Thanks,” Dean said honestly.
“Don’t mention it.”
***
You returned to the motel to quickly shower off and gather your things. Dean followed you to your room and looked down at your arm. “Gimme that,” he said.
“What? My arm?”
“Mm-hmm.”
“This is our thing now, I guess, huh?” you asked as he pulled a chair up to where you sat on your bed, using your first aid kid to clean your wounds.
“Oh, god, don’t try and make this cute,” he groaned.
“Well, it is!” you protested. “I like how much you care.”
A comfortable silence settled over the two of you, and you began to work on Dean’s wounds he’d sustained from Gordon.
“(Y/N), I—” he began, “I was a complete asshole back there. I just… it’s what I told Sam, I mean, this changes everything for me.”
“I get it,” you nodded. “Me, too. You know I fucking hate vampires, and I wanted to smoke every last one of them. But I don’t know. I’m starting to see the humanity in ‘em, I guess.”
“‘S funny. Humanity in monsters.”
“I know,” you giggled. “Sounds stupid saying it out loud. But think about it. That chick reacted the way any regular person does with severe addiction. Just makes you think, y’know? Maybe they’re more like us than we ever thought.”
He huffed out a laugh. “Don’t get all philosophical on me; I can’t keep up when you do.”
“Yeah, but you love it, though,” you teased.
“I do, actually,” he said, much to your surprise. “You’re so smart, it scares me sometimes.”
“Whoa, look at you and your compliments,” you joked, grinning.
“What?" he chuckled.
“Normally I'm the touchy-feely one,” you answered, giggling. “But thank you. It means a lot coming from you.” You finished wrapping a bandage around his knuckles. “There.”
He flexed them painfully in your upturned palm before playing with your hand in his. You looked up at him, breath hitching in your throat. “Dee, if you’re not ready—”
“(Y/N),” he said, leaning in to you. You surged forward and connected his lips with yours.

chick-flicks & plump lips

warnings: fluff, angst, sexual references, strong language... love confessions ♡

"We'd like to check in." Dean sauntered up to the front desk, that usual swagger in his step as he gave the receptionist a once over, "Under Connors."
The receptionist's eyes immediately dropped to your undoubtedly dishevelled appearances, but once they settled on Dean's face, she seemed to check herself.
"Rough night." Dean drawled in a forced attempt to make conversation with her, referring to the mud that caked each of your clothes.
Grave-digging wasn't for the weak after all.
You and Sam exchanged a look, rough night didn't even begin to describe the evening you'd all had.
She blushed, clicking a few times on her computer before facing the three of you, "Dean Connors? Two rooms?"
He nodded, flashing a grin that had the receptionist close to drooling, "That's the one."
Dean rubbed his hands together as she passed him both keys, chucking one in Sam's direction which he caught smoothly.
"Enjoy the two bedroom en-suite!" Hollered the receptionist in Dean's direction as he strolled off, you and Sam following closely.
Once you reached the correct corridor, you paused, watching Dean swiftly unlock his room as you waited expectantly. By this point, one of the brothers would give you their key so that you could enjoy some privacy. With the added bonus of a break from their constant bickering.
Dean turned towards you both from the doorway as your eyebrows rose, immediately recognising that familiar look of smugness. By the look on Sam's face, he'd noticed it too.
Clearing his throat, Dean stared you both down, "I'm giving you both tonight."
You and Sam exchanged confused glances.
"I'm sick of the tension, and I refuse to be stuck in the middle of some corny chick-flick. You either fuck or you sort your shit out."
The door slammed.
Every muscle tensed as you hesitantly faced Sam, who seemed determined to stare at anything except you.
He stepped towards the door opposite and unlocked it with a soft click, reaching blindly to fumble for a light switch. Within moments light flooded the room, and he swore under his breath.
One bed. Typical.
The receptionist's earlier words directed towards Dean resurfaced in your head: "Enjoy the two bedroom en-suite!"
You could practically hear Dean's snort of laughter from the other room, and you swore you'd make him pay for this in the morning. For your mounting humiliation and the words he'd spoken into existence that neither you nor Sam had been able to admit yet. Words that could no longer be ignored now that they were out in the open. Exposed.
Sam finally met your eyes, flashing you an apologetic look as he walked inside, shutting the door softly once you'd entered too.
You both stood for a moment, unsure what to do with yourselves- it wasn't like you had something to keep busy with or any belongings to unpack: most of your bags had remained in the Impala.
Eager to escape the awkwardness, you quickly yanked pyjama bottoms and a loose t-shirt from your rucksack and announced that you needed a shower.
You slipped into the bathroom before Sam had a chance to reply.
Staring at your reflection in the mirror, the impassivity of your face concealed your inner turmoil well. Dean's words had taken you by surprise, yes, but they hadn't exactly been news. Perhaps it was a good thing he had acknowledged it. Especially with the job the three of you shared. Emotional conflict and unspoken secrets didn't bode well when your lives were constantly in eachothers hands. Not that either of the Winchester brothers would ever allow any harm to befall you.
Tugging off your clothes, you let your torn henley, mud-splattered jeans and lace-trimmed underwear pool at your feet.
Sam. Sammy. Your best friend.
It was true. You'd entertained the thought of something more not too long ago. Who were you kidding? You still did; it was impossible not to. When his fingers brushed against yours, when his lips pulled into a smile in those brief, deeply personal moments, intended for your eyes only. A privilege you kept close to your heart.
You knew Sam thought about it too, knew that the amount of times you'd both stared at each others lips was too much to be an accident. To hold him, to touch him, to be with him.. it sent an indescribable thrill through your body that matched the adrenaline after a successful mission; that feeling when you'd faced death, and came out alive.
Shaking your head in an attempt to banish these thoughts, you drifted into the shower, tugging your hair free from it's hair band.
With a strangled squeak, the shower head relented as it burst into life. Stepping underneath the streams of water, you hissed at the searing hot temperature. It didn't seem to compromise between agonisingly cold and painfully hot, so you settled for the latter with a soft sigh, moaning with satisfaction as the water hugged your scalp, chest, thighs, legs; tinted crimson by the time it disappeared down the drain. You scrubbed at the blackened blood in your hair, still uncertain whether it was yours or not.
Once you felt clean enough, you stepped out, towelling yourself down quickly before sliding into your pyjamas. Your eyes widened as you realised the purple t-shirt you'd chosen in your haste had once been Sam's, and you traced the dog's outline almost dotingly. It was impossible not to remember the time you'd lost all of your clothes when Dean had recklessly torched a demon (and all of your belongings in the process) during a moment of impulsivity. Sam had lent it to you those months ago, conveniently forgetting to ask for it back once he realised how much you adored it. The fit not suiting you, it revealed slithers of your shoulders as you moved.
After a quick brush-through of your hair and a once over in the steamed up mirror, you decided it was time to go out. To face the inevitable. Your hand trembled slightly as you gripped the bathroom door handle, pushing it open and wincing at the obnoxious creaking sound that accompanied it.
Sam, who had been sat on the edge of the bed, head in his hands, instantly looked up at the harsh sound. The lights had been turned off, and it took a moment for your eyes to adjust to the darkness.
Sam's eyes dropped to your t-shirt, but he made no comment. Disappointment swelled within you for a reason you couldn't, or simply wouldn't, identify. You had wanted to be the one to speak first, to behave nonchalantly, but too much swirled in the air between you. Too much was at stake, and you found yourself incapable of acting as though you didn't care. Instead, you opted for the safest option and walked towards the large window. The city view would've been breathtaking if the air hadn't been stolen from your lungs already. Thousands of stars twinkled promisingly, woven in-between a duvet of endless darkness. The opportunity of love in a world dominated by the opposite.
Perhaps you had looked forward to the chance of a confession. From both sides. To voice the intensity of your feelings, to gain clarification. To at the very least cleanse your system of emotions that threatened to suffocate you so that you could at last move on. If that was possible.
You sensed him before he spoke. The warmth radiating from his body, the distinct smell of his aftershave, the uneven, short breaths he took as he neared. Sam stopped directly by your side, close enough that you could detect the rising and falling of his chest, his expression as he turned to face you. It was one of conflict. A long-standing mask of calm that threatened to crack beneath the breadth of possibilities. The millions of outcomes of this singular moment between the two of you, the millions of words he could say- perhaps only a couple being the right ones.
You couldn't bring yourself to face him back. Not yet, so you stubbornly stared out the window, tracing the city skyline with your eyes.
His shoulder brushed yours, "(Y/n)."
The way he spoke your name was imploring, as though he needed your attention, needed your eyes on his.
"I'm sorry about this," he briefly gestured around the room, "happening."
You turned around so quickly that he flinched, caught by surprise, "You're sorry?"
His brow was furrowed, unable to understand the source of your reaction, "Yes," he began, his gaze studying you intensely, "I'm sorry Dean did this, it wasn't right and-"
"It wasn't right." You repeated, suddenly feeling numb, hurt eating at your words, "Is that what you and I are? Not right?" Your bottom lip quivered, eyes blinking ferociously in an attempt to stop the first teardrop falling and the others from inevitably following.
Sam realised his mistake, a hand reaching out to caress your arm when he reconsidered, and it dropped to his side.
Beneath the stars, you couldn't tell whether the glistening in his eyes was from the shining of the moon or tears of regret.
Beneath the stars, your heart exposed, his silence was damaging.
You gave a small smile and turned away, ready to knock on Dean's door and beg to sleep there instead.
When a hand grasped your arm and pulled you back.
Sam held you close this time, his large hands holding your waist as though he was scared you'd attempt to leave again. His hair brushed against your forehead as you instinctively leaned into him, your noses brushing.
"Don't leave." He murmured, hot air hitting your cheek as he spoke.
Heart throbbing, chest aching, you couldn't bring yourself to speak.
You leant back slightly, just enough so that you could peer into Sam's eyes. It was then that you noticed it; submerged beneath the flickering hues of honeyed brown and whorls of rich green: longing.
He continued, each word softer, more intimate than the last, "I need you, (Y/n)." His thumb swiped away a stray tear from your cheek, but instead of dropping back down to his side, his large hand softly cupped your face.
His thumb traversed your features, swiping over your lips, tracing your cheekbones, lovingly brushing over your eyelids as your lashes fluttered.
Your breath hitched, words unable to scramble past the growing lump in your throat as your mind went back to all of the memories you shared: fighting by Sam's side, cleaning his cuts, car drives as you chased your next case, late nights in random local libraries researching with him..
As though he could read your mind, Sam continued, "I need you, (Y/n). Not to go back to back with me during a fight, not to fix me up when I get hurt..'
You swiped away a stray hair from his face, unsure where this was going but too entranced by him to voice it.
"..but to be with me afterwards. I want to treat you to a proper dinner - not Dean's pot noodles - somewhere nice." He added quickly, earning a small giggle from you, "I want to cherish you, to care for you- not only when you've been injured during a fight, but all the time. I want to be with you at the end of the day, when you're drifting off to sleep- I want to hold you - I want to show you- to show you that I love you."
You froze, eyes widening.
"I love you." He repeated, almost a whisper, yet ten times louder in your ears as his words echoed in your mind.
You couldn't think, couldn't move, couldn't breathe as his words struck a chord deep within your heart. You saw doubt begin to drown out that shimmer in his eyes- you decided to banish it. Decided that in a world of supernatural hunts, infinite risks and dangerous uncertanties, there was something Sam Winchester would never have to doubt for one second: your love.
Slowly, meaningfully, your hands settled on his neck, travelling upwards until they tugged softly at the ends of his hair.
"Sammy.." you murmured so quietly, the movement of your lips almost undetectable. Except to him.
Urgently pulling your head forwards, Sam's lips crashed onto yours as he kissed you with every emotion he had failed to repress, every thought and dream about you that had threatened to be his undoing, every innocent touch that had every potential to become something more, until the evidence of his love plumped your flushed lips. You briefly pulled away, resisting that disappointed groan of his that drove you half crazy because you had to say it, had to- "I love you." You gasped, as he claimed your lips once more, his tongue swirling around your own as though he was capturing those words, those revered words, trapping them in the intimacy of a moment that neither of you would ever forget.
After a few minutes that felt like blissful eternity, yet simultaneously would never be long enough to satiate your longing to be forever close to him, you both pulled away. A string of his saliva mixed with yours adorned your lips as he wiped it away dotingly.
His grip on you tightened as you leaned in once more, begging to kiss him again, to close that tantalising distance between the two of you that stretched on for too long.
He almost gave in- his eyes, illuminated by the moonlight that danced across your faces, yearned for you. He kissed your cheek and, with effort, pulled away. You pouted slightly as he ran a hand through his tousled hair.
"Don't look at me like that, doll." He spoke, a smirk hidden beneath his expression of pure adoration, "I need to shower first-" his eyes dragged down your figure, any trace of his puppy dog eyes gone, catching on your curves as they returned to your face, "-if we're going to follow Dean's initial suggestion."

Dean Winchester x Reader
Summary: Dean shows up at your doorstep after Sam leaves for Stanford. His emotions are at an all time high, this leads to a confession.
Word Count: 2.0k+
Rating: PG-13
A/N: Enjoy! Here's the link to the rest of the series: 𝕆𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕐𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕤.
▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣
Her life had changed after that day.
She had deleted Dean's phone number. Everytime John Winchester stopped by her father's house she found a way to be gone. Whether it was doing a grocery run even though she'd went the previous night or faking a cold. She couldn't bear to see Dean again.
The thought of him still made her chest ache. She had left that motel with tears in her eyes and never looked back. It had broken her heart to leave like that. It'd left a hole in her chest that she couldn't fill with anything, no matter how much she tried. It might have been three years but the pain was still raw every time she thought of him.
It was impossible for it to not hurt. Dean had been her first love. Well, that and her first heart break. She didn't live remembering how everything had went down in the end. Being special to someone had seemed like such a good thing. Until she discovered that she hadn't been as special as she had thought to Dean. He might not have actually cheated on her, but knowing that his eyes went to every other girl still hurt.
A lot had changed since then. She was older and wiser. She had grown up a lot from the socially awkward mess she had been whenever she had been with Dean. Growing up so isolated from healthy friendships where people knew her real name had definitely stunted her emotional growth. Not anymore. She'd done some growing up since she's turned eighteen. She'd had three years of freedom as a legal adult.
She might still live with her father but she didn't stay home all of the time. Hell, she even worked cases on her own sometimes. Sweet, sweet freedom. It felt great. She wasn't just some little kid anymore, no. She was a hunter. Saving people and hunting the things that go bump in the night felt good.
A knock on the front door jolted her out of her thoughts. Her father wouldn't be back from his hunt for a few more days, he'd called her to tell her that this morning. She couldn't think of anyone who would show up without an explanation, not this late. Gladys would have fallen asleep hours ago.
She peeked through the window and her heart caught in her throat. She could see the all too familiar Impala parked in the driveway. Pulling the door open she was greeted with the sight of someone who was all too familiar to her. What was Dean doing here? And why so late? Those questions and many more raced through her head.
"Dean?" She said, her voice barely above a whisper.
She took in how he looked now... damn good, like always. It was startling to notice the dried up tear tracks that currently stained his cheeks. She knew that she should say something, start the conversation. Maybe even ask if he was okay. And yet, she couldn't. Any other words that she might have said got stuck in her throat.
Dean looked at her, he was staring really. He couldn't take his eyes off of her. She looked just as perfect as she had the day that she'd left after that stupid argument. Dean had many regrets about letting her leave. But, he had been young and stupid. It had been three years. He had grown up a little bit since then.
"S-sammy left." His voice was hoarse, she could hear the strain in it as Dean tried to keep so many of the emotions he felt inside.
His words made her eyebrows furrow. She had many questions. They would all be able to wait a little bit though. She assumed that the younger Winchester brother had gotten tired of dealing with his father's shitty attitude and left. Not that she blamed him, not in the slightest.
She has gotten lucky with how kind her father had been growing up. Bobby had raised her well and had done the best he could. She still chose to stay there whenever she wasn't out hunting. He had never done anything serious that warranted her being upset enough to leave.
"Come inside," She said, stepping away so that Dean could walk inside.
She didn't have to worry about having to explain any of this to her father. Bobby wouldn't be home for a few more days. His hunt was at a convenient time. So was her week off. Any other week and the chance of it only being her father up at the house would have been fairly high. As he aged the older man went out on hunts less and less. She had began taking up more of them. Bobby was getting too old to spend all of his time out ganking monsters.
Dean silently walked into the house. He had been here recently. Whenever she wasn't home he stopped by to see Bobby. The older man was almost like a father to him. Actually, there was no almost to it. Bobby had been more of a father to him than his own father had been. John hadn't been the greatest guy. Not by a longshot.
"Thanks," Dean said, clearing his throat.
"Do you want a beer? Or something stronger?" She asked as she shut the front door. She had a feeling that Dean would opt for the second option. He looked like he could use a glass of whiskey right now.
"Something stronger," He replied quickly. "If you don't mind," He added after a second.
She nodded, disappearing from Dean's view as she walked into the kitchen. He had missed everything about her. The way she smiled, the sound of her voice after a long day, everything. Dean had loved her. Since he'd lost her he had tried filling the gaping hole in his chest with countless other woman. It hadn't worked, not even close. Sometimes he would be able to forget her in a night. Every morning after he remembered her though. It was impossible to get her out of his head.
In the kitchen she poured Dean a glass of whiskey and grabbed a beer for herself. She was not willing to be drinking something so strong right now. She planned on being as sober as possible tonight. She needed to remember as much of it as she could clearly. It wasn't often that she saw Dean. And, she wasn't sure how tonight was going to go.
Walking into the living room, she spotted Dean. He was lounging on the love seat, leg anxiously bouncing. It wouldn't have taken a psychologist to realize how upset he was over Sam leaving. She still had so many questions for her ex-lover. Something big must have happened whenever Sam left. Why else would Dean be a goddamn mess?
"Why'd he leave?" She asked softly, her voice smooth like marble as she spoke in that honey sweet tone of hers. She set the whiskey down in front of Dean, on the coffee table. She then sat down next to him.
The sound of her voice had Dean already feeling an ache in his chest. He missed her more than he would ever admit, to anyone. The thought of having a chance with her again was the only thing preventing him from crying anymore. He'd done enough of that on the drive over here. Now, he would handle things. Well, he would tell her about things. He wasn't in the mood to deal with his own emotions about the matter.
Dean picked up the glass of whiskey and downed half of it in one gulp. The amber liquid burned his throat as he swallowed. He welcomed the feeling with open arms. He needed something to help drown out his misery. He didn't think that he would be able to explain everything completely sober.
"He got into Stanford." Saying the words out loud made it feel even worse. "Dad was pissed. I've never seen him this mad."
She placed a hand on his knee. His words made her feel horrible. She knew all about how bad John's temper could be on what was considered a good day. Just imaging how horrible he must have treated his sons during that argument made her feel sick. She wanted nothing more than to wrap Dean up in her arms and tell him that everything would be okay. But, she couldn't. He wasn't hers anymore.
"You can stay here for the night," She said, unsure of what else to say. She couldn't say anything that would make this feel better. She could only try and help ease the pain Dean was in over all of this.
She scooted over on the couch, her thigh brushing up against Dean's. He melted into her touch as she pulled him into a hug. His head rested on the expanse of soft skin between her neck and shoulder. He could finally relax. He sighed, feeling the stress and emotional turmoil melt away in her arms.
For a minute he could pretend that everything was okay. For a minute, he believed that. He didn't have to think about everything that John had screamed as Sam had told his father about leaving for Stanford. He didn't have to think about his father or Sam at all. He could just be with her, and enjoy the comfort.
"You're going to be okay," She murmured, running her fingers through his short hair.
"Thank you," Dean whispered, his voice thick with unsaid words.
"You don't need to thank me," She replied.
Dean sniffled, clearing his throat. He sat up, trying to find the words to say. It had always been easy for him to speak with her in the last. The words had seemed to flow naturally, there was no walking on eggshells around her. She understood him and had loved him for who he was, flaws and all.
"No, not just for this. For everything," He said in a quiet voice. He missed her. Even if he didn't expect anything from her, he needed her to know. He needed her to know that she hadn't just been some fling to him. She had been his everything for a long while. She still was.
Her mouth went dry. Any words that she might have said caught in her throat. She hadn't been expecting the night to end this way. Whenever she woke up this morning she never in a million years would have predicted that this would happen, hell, she wouldn't have even thought that dean would show up let alone say something like that.
She wasn't the next one who spoke, Dean was.
"I've missed you. I-I know I screwed up."
His words shocked her even more. She might still love him, might, but that didn't mean that she could handle a relationship with him again. Well, it's not like she has a list of guys who she would rather be with. If she was being honest with herself then there was only one guy she could see herself with, and that guy was sitting across from her and asking for a second chance.
Dozens of replies went through her head. Not being able to find the words to speak made her use actions instead. She leaned forward, pressing her lips to his.
Dean went still for a single second before reacting. One of his hands went to her waist as the other one could her jaw. He deepened the kiss, his tongue sliding past her lips. Words couldn't describe the amount of emotion and heart ache that they both poured into the kiss.
The only thing that seemed to exist right now to them was each other. One of her hands slid around Dean's shoulders, wrapping herself around him. She sighed into the kiss as Dean lightly nipped at her lip. She pulled away for a quick breath, gazing into his eyes. Being without him had been hell. She needed him as much as she needed oxygen.
"I missed you too."

Aaron Hotchner x fem!reader
Criminal Minds x Supernatural
Summary: Your first humankind case reveals a new Hotchner´s side you didn´t know.
Content Warning: Flirty Hotch, Homicide description, Abuse, Rape, Violence, Triggering situations. (Please let me know if I let something out.)
Note: This is my version of the episode "Jones" in the early seasons, I changed a lot of the things but not all of them, It is just how I would've liked the case to be in my opinion, and obviously added a bunch of other things to fit the thread of my story, like Jason Gideon not being there. I hope you like it.
Tumblr media
“Short stuff, are you ready?”
“Nope”
“Come on, you’re going to be just fine.” Morgan gifted you a reassuring smile.
This was your first time filling in for a member of the group. Normally it wasn’t necessary, but the team was reduced to four. Emily was on mandatory vacation and JJ stayed at home to take care of a sick Henry, so now your presence was requested.
“It’s not what I’m used to.”
“No it’s not, but you are a great agent and will do just fine.” He said gently squeezing your arm. “You will charm them all.”
“Of course I will, there is no doubt.” You smiled back.
“Let’s go then.”
You both walked to the briefing room where the rest of the team was waiting, Morgan quickly walked to the empty chair In front of you, slightly pushing you to the side, leaving you with no option but to sit next to Hotch, not that you minded but lately all the members of the team have been acting a little weird.
You looked at Morgan with a questioning look but he completely ignored you and lowered his gaze to read the case files.
“We have a serial killer in New Orleans. Two men’s dead bodies were found over the last month, and a third body was found last night, the same MO, male, throat slashed, they were all found in semi-public places in the French Quarter.” You heard Penelope explain.  “The local police have no leads and no suspects so far, Mike Weller, the head detective is waiting for you.”
Hotch nodded and looked at everyone in the room. “Wheels up in thirty.” He said before disappearing out the door.
When arriving, Hotch sent you and Reid to the forensic lab to examine the body.
“No hesitation marks.” You said pointing to the terrible wounds.
Spencer nodded. “Cuts are methodical and almost procedural.”
The forensic doctor looked at both of you. “The person who did this definitely had medical training, there’s no other way he could have done this.”
“He?” You glaze up to the doctor.
“No defensive wounds and took out pretty big men.” You frowned. “Although all the toxicology tests showed signs of alcohol.”
“Any relatives came to claim the body?” Spencer asked.
The doctor nodded. “His wife came with his former colleague.” Both of you looked at him with a confused expression. “He was a retired officer.”
“The lead detective didn’t say anything about that.”
“I’m not surprised, he wasn’t popular at all, he had a reputation for being a dirty cop.”
“I’ll call Garcia.” You said getting your phone out.
But suddenly Spencer’s phone began to ring and he immediately answered. “Where? Okay, we’ll be there.”  He looked at you as he got off the phone. “Another body was found, call her on the way there.”
“Same MO.” Morgan informed. “Some people saw him leave the bar down the street.”
“So, he was drunk just like the other victim.” You said while eyeing the Weller. “Do we know his profession?”
“Does it matter?” He asked with a hint of annoyance in his voice.
You step aside standing closer to him and shrugging your shoulders. “Humor me, detective.”
Detective Weller side-eyed you but nodded. “He was a well-known lawyer.”
“I see.” You crossed your arms while raising an eyebrow. “You forgot to mention that the fourth victim was a cop who used to work at your police station.”
“I don’t think it is relevant to the case.” Weller huffed.
“Well, we don’t know that yet.” You insisted. “Do we?”
The BAU men were looking at your disagreement with confusion, and suddenly a strong back wearing a gray and elegant suit got in between, blocking your vision. It took only a few seconds to recognize that it belonged to Hotchner.
“We would like to have access to all of the information available, it’s vital to be able to get the unsub’s profile.“ You heard Aaron talking to the detective.
“Sure, Agent Hotchner.” After Weller left the crime scene, Hotch turned around to see you.
“You are riding with me.” Hotch left the place hurriedly making you roll your eyes and toss your keys at Spencer.
You manage to keep up with Hotch’s pace and climb up on the SUV, some minutes passed and neither of you talked, but you got tired of the unbearable silence.
“If you’re going to scold me, just do it now.”
“I’m not.”
“Hotch he was in the wrong, you know that, right?”
“I’m aware.” You shot him a puzzled look.
“Then why get in the middle of my conversation?”
”Because that wasn’t a conversation, he was starting to raise his voice.”
“I can take it, Hotchner.”
“I know you can, doesn’t mean I want you to.” You felt how your facial expression softened at his comment. “Listen, some of these detectives think we are here to make them look bad, they feel threatened.”
You rolled your eyes. “How are their insecurities my fault?”
Hotch chuckled a bit. “They are not, just go easy on them so we can keep the case.”
You, Hotch, and Spencer stayed at the precinct to read all the new information about the victims while Rossi and Morgan left to talk with the new possible witnesses. Currently, you are on your third cup of coffee and your fifth case file.
“I can’t believe we were missing all this information.” You hissed.
“Simmer down.” Hotch murmured.
You looked at the evidence board leaning against the table, focusing on the victim's photos, and frowning when looking closer.
“Oh.”
“You found something new?” Spencer asked.
“Hmm, have you seen that all the victims have tattoos?” Both men got closer to look at the photos.
“Well actually, in some religions tattoos are forbidden because they think of the body as a temple.” Spencer babbled and immediately stood up from his chair. “Some other religions even think that if you get a tattoo, you’re not allowed in heaven.”
“Really?” A look of confusion crossed your face.
Spencer quickly nodded while pointing up with his finger. “You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:28.” He added.
“So, we think this is a religious matter?” You asked.
“It could be a coincidence. Let’s ask Garcia if she can find something about it.” Spencer took his phone and left the room, leaving you and Hotch alone, looking at the board side to side.
“Well, that’s concerning. You know, some tattoos are meant to protect you.”
Hotch turned his head towards you. “What do you mean?”
“There’s this kind of tattoos that are protection symbols, usually hunters get them.”
“You have one?” Hotch’s upright posture was visibly shaken.
“I'm no hunter.” You said before walking back to the table, Hotch following you. “But yes, I do have one.”
“I’ve never seen a tattoo on you.” Hotch frowns
“That´s because it’s not in a visible spot.” You giggled while turning your back on Hotch to take out another stack of files.
Hotch’s eyes were found unconsciously roaming over your body. He had seen you in the summer, in short skirts and tiny tops, or with risky cleavages, hell he even had seen you in your pajamas when you shared a hotel room once or twice, but he never noticed any tattoos. That can only mean one last place.
Hotch knew you were busy getting the files so his eyes ended up going down your back to your ass, He was positive your tattoo was on your hip or ass.
You could feel Hotch’s eyes going down and up your body, You even turned your back on him longer than needed, so he could linger his sight on you even longer. Anyone could’ve said it was just Hotch’s curiosity but you saw that tiny shade of lust, sparkle in his eyes for a brief moment when you mentioned you having a tattoo.
You turned your body in a slow move and caught him still hypnotized by your body. “Looking for something Hotch?”
“Hips or ass, agent?” He asked with a straight face but his voice showed a hint of playfulness. He was teasing you.
The question made you smirk. “You’re not gonna hear it from me, you’re going to need to find out in another way, Sir.”
But before he could open his mouth to speak, Spencer came back to the room with bad news.
“Another body appeared, no tattoo.”
“Body number five, we can barely keep up with this guy.” you heard in the distance.
“Do we know who he is?” Hotch asked.
“Since it matters so much, His friend says he is a salesman.” Weller said, sending a nasty look at you. “No connection.”
“Detective Weller, I would appreciate it if your answer were directed at me. When I ask a question.” Hotch replied.
Weller huffed with irritation and you thought you heard him grumble something, but you’re not sure if he was agreeing with Hotch or cursing you under his breath. “We have five bodies, Agent Hotchner, and no correlation.”
“Okay, all victims were partying late at night with their friends and killed in the alley with no one noticing, how did the unsub manage to get them alone?” Hotch looked at his team, they were all lost in thoughts.
“A woman.” Detective Weller's mocking laughter echoed in the room.
“Let her finish.” It only took the look on Hotch’s eyes to harden, to force Weller to shut up.
“What is the only temptation for a straight man that’s going to lure him away from his friends and make him leave the bar?” Your expecting eyes were moving around glancing at your team’s faces.
“A woman.” Rossi repeated while nodding his head.
Hotch turned on his heels and looked at the detective. “Gather your men, we are ready to give a profile.”
“Ready?” Hotch whispered in your ear, making the baby hairs on the back of your neck stand at the sound of his voice.
“What?” You whispered back feeling numb by his closeness.
“Ready to give the profile?”
“Hotch, I’ve never gi-.” Your voice trails off. “I don’t think it is a good idea.”
“It is.” He assured you pushing you to the side and walking to the room full of cops.
Lost in your thoughts you barely felt two hands holding your arms from behind, giving you a light squeeze. “You got this, Kid.” Rossi left your side and followed Hotch in the other precinct's room.
You sighed and took a deep breath. This was your first time profiling a human case, not covering up supernatural events or rehearsing made-up stories. This felt different, good different.
You walked confidently and stood in the middle of the room surrounded by your team.
“We are looking for a woman between 30 and 35, she’s friendly, she’ll lure with charm but kill with rage.” You began your speech, feeling every pair of eyes looking at you with attention. “We believe she kills men to reclaim her power.”
“She probably suffers from low self-esteem but covers it well.” You heard Morgan's voice.
“We believe this woman went through a catastrophic event, that’s when the killing started.” Rossi pointed.
“She has medical training, you should consider EMTs, doctors, or veterinarians.”
“It’s more likely we are dealing with the Aileen Wournos archetype, motivated by paranoia and fear, luring men with sex.” Spencer added.
“She certainly knows the terrain, so be careful out there.” Hotch remarked.
A couple of hours later after the profile, Detective Weller came in a hurry with a piece of paper in an evidence bag.
“Forensics found a letter on the victim's body.” He said handing it over to Hotch. “She’s mocking us.”
“Dear boss, he wanted it. With that sharp tongue and vulgar hand. I thought you’d like to know that another will soon get what he deserves.
Yours truly.”
“That 's weird.” All eyes searched Spencer’s voice. “Typically offenders write letters to be heard. Jack the Ripper bragged about not being caught yet this Unsub isn’t using correspondence to flaunt her latest kill. Only to explain why she did it.” He explained while moving his hands around.
“It’s possible that she considers herself a vigilante. That the man she’s killing deserves to die.” Rossi blurted.
“Then, every kill she’s acting out is a fantasy of revenge or a real revenge?” Everyone in the room returned to their thoughts wondering at Morgan’s question.
You shifted in your place with uncertainty. “Maybe she is contacting us not because we are on the case, but because she believes we understand.” With fingers tapping against the wood, you began to unravel the tiny hints in the letter. “The Unsub wrote, He wanted it as she couldn’t help herself. What if she’s mirroring the man who raped her?”
”Where are the files stored from your Sex Crimes Division?” Hotch looked at Weller’s direction.
The detective stepped out of the room momentarily and returned with a medium-sized carton box with a few files that barely stuck out of the box. “Here they are.”
“That 's it?” You let out with a surprised tone of voice.
After several hours of trying to match your profile with any file in the box, you were exhausted. You decided to take a quick break and enter the bathroom, You locked yourself inside one of the bathroom booths and sighed while your hands held your head.
The sound of the door being opened ripped you out of your pessimistic thoughts. Suddenly a hand left a piece of paper report at your feet, leaving you uncertain on what to do. You tried to thank the person but, you were answered with fast footsteps leaving the place.
You took the paper and read in a whispered voice, Disturbance at Jones.
~~
“Care to tell us what happened then, detective?” Hotch asked.
Detective Weller shifted in his seat with discomfort. “How did you know about this incident?”
“It was in the box you gave us, Weller.” Morgan said while leaning against the wall, looking directly at Weller.
“I don’t think so.”
“Maybe you misplaced it, who cares?” You argued.
He looked at you with disdain. Aaron couldn’t help himself and stepped closer to you showing protection. “This happened when the head detective before me was in charge, I took some of the declarations but that’s it.”
You smirked with satisfaction Knowing you were right all along. “The detective before you as our third victim?” He nodded.
“What happened there, detective?”
“One of the boys asked her if she wanted to play pool. Witnesses claim she was up for anything. His friend, not far behind.“ All the eyes were on him. “He claims she knew he was there, She said she claimed for help but not a single person claimed that they heard her.”
You shook your head in disbelief.
He continued, “That’s why it was registered as a disturbance. She wanted to press charges. But the head detective back then told her it was a waste of time.”
“How is this just a disturbance?” Rossi asked, frowning at Weller.
“As far as I was concerned, no such rape ever took place, and the boy was a colleague’s son, he is a good boy.”
Something in your stomach twisted and anger started to build up.
“We are trying to know her name; she could be our Unsub.” Morgan pointed out. Weller sighed when this realization dawned on him, but he slightly shook his head as he was ashamed of not knowing the answer.
But you were sure shame wasn’t a feeling men like that could understand.
“You don’t remember her name?“ Morgan asked with incredulity.
“It was nine years ago.”
“What about the name of the good kid that raped her?” You bickered.
~~
“Mr. Tibideaux, we need you to answer a few questions about a disturbance you were involved with.“ Hotch’s voice resonated inside the four walls of the interrogation room.
“I don’t know what you are talking about.”
Disgust appeared in your face, but you hid it by biting your tongue. You didn’t know why Hotch asked you to be there, but you hated every minute of it.
“At a bar called Jones, It was Mardi Gras.” Hotch reminded him.
“You know, then I must’ve been drinking or something. Cause I don’t remember a thing.”
With your feet tapping the floor, you were counting the seconds to be able to leave the room and be away from the so-called good boy.
“We just need to know the name of your accuser.” Hotch demanded. If he was annoyed there was no way to know.
“Look, I told you. I don’t know what you are talking about”
You roughly massaged your right temple, fuming.
”The statute of limitations is up, we just need a name.” He added calmly.
“Someone accuses me of rape, I’m gonna remember her name.” You taunted.
“Well, what can I tell you, Cher? I guess she didn’t make that good of an impression.“
Your eyes narrowed dismissively.
”Unlike yourself right now.” You retorted.
“You know. I’m guessing if someone did do something to that girl that night then she was probably asking for it. Maybe even liked it.”
You controlled the urge to smash his head against the table and abruptly took the file out of Hotch’s hands, you opened it and began to display all the victim's photos in front of him.
“You know Hotch, maybe we are not too late, she murdered these men and I’m guessing it’s only a matter of time before she works her way back to the one she really wants to kill.” You tilted your head to look at him but he was busy looking at the pictures with a horrified look. “Is she making an impression now?
Your words suggested you were talking to Hotch but your sight was set on the other man in the room.
“You don’t want to tell us, fine.” You snickered. “Cause Daddy can’t make this go away, and I have no problem waiting for your dead body to give me a new hint.”
You leaned closer, you didn’t have to talk anymore, you knew your eyes were saying enough. But you continued.
“In fact, I wouldn’t like anything else, so I’m gonna go ahead and set my alarm for tomorrow morning when I get the call from the police.” You ranted.  “Cause, believe me, I’m going to sleep better knowing there is one less offender out of the streets.”
After hearing the name you needed, you stormed out of the room leaving everyone behind without looking back until you heard a voice calling for you.
“That was out of line, agent.” You abruptly stopped and turned on your heels to look at Weller.
“The only thing out of line is how pathetic you are at doing your job, Weller.” You turned back at him one more time and kept waking till reaching a quiet corner to make a phone call.
“Work me.” You hear Penelope’s voice on your phone.
“We have a name. Sarah Danlin. I need an address.”
“1141 Sherman Avenue. It looks like she was a med student at Tulane but she dropped out.”
“Let me guess, February nine years ago.”
“Yeah.”
“Thanks.”
~~
You returned to the hotel room by Hotchner’s request, and you knew he was in the right to send you back, you got carried away by your emotions.
You were a mess. Closing your room door, you let your emotions overpower you once more. Tears were falling down your face. You weren’t sure what you were feeling. No one ever prepared you for this kind of case, you felt powerless, empty, and lost. And finally, rage possessed your emotions.
You tossed glasses and trails of empty dishes, and your luggage and clothes flew around the room until your energy and strength gave up and tiredness reached you.
You are sure the hotel staff let Hotch know, cause he kept checking with you constantly. He let you know when they arrested her and how she told them she killed every man who helped cover up her abuse.
You heard your door being open and looked at Hotchner with a questioning look when you saw him standing there.
“How did you open my door?”
He showed you his key. “We are sharing.”
You frowned. “Since when?”
“Since now, there has been an unexpected cut in the budget.” You nodded knowing it was a lie and he probably wanted to check on you. But you said nothing.
“Some things fall by themselves, I think there’s a ghost.” You said when you caught him looking at the mess on the floor.
“I think you can manage that.”
He left his duffel bag on the floor and sat next to you on the bed.
“Are you okay?” He asked.
That simple question was enough to break your strong façade. It was a question you normally have no problem answering with a lie, and you didn’t know if it was the situation or just because Hotch was the one asking. But it brought you down to tears.
He took you in his arms and hugged you tight.
“I’m sorry.”
“It 's okay.” He softly mumbled on your head reassuring you. “You said what you needed to say.”
You quickly shook your head.
“I meant it.” You sniffled. “I was willing to wait.”
“I know.” He said while caressing your back with soothing movements.
“So, normally you have to deal with these detectives making your job impossible?”
“Yeah, all the time.” He chuckled.
“God, it’s exhausting.” You laugh a little
“You don’t?”
“No, they basically beg me to take the case out of their hands.”
Hotch sighed. “You need to learn new methods for the interrogation.” He searched for your eyes. “I mean, only if you want to keep coming to these cases with us, you want to?”
“Yeah.” You smiled at him.
“You are a profiler now, welcome to the team.”
~~
Back in Quantico, you were getting ready to leave your office when you got a call from an unknown number. You hesitated but finally answered after letting it ring for a couple of seconds.
“Hello?”
“Hey, sweetheart.”
“Dean?” You frowned looking back at the number.
“We need a little bit of help.” Reality sank on you.
“Tell me you are not calling from where I think you are calling.”
“Agent Henriksen got to us.”
“Damn it, Dean, How the heck did he manage to do that?”
“Bella Talbot.”
“That bitch again?” You sighed. “Where are you?”
“Colorado.”
“I’m on my way.”

I’LL MAKE YOU FORGET YOU’RE GAY — soldier boy
pairing: soldier boy x demigod!reader
the one where: the reader tries to make a tiktok with ben.
warnings: +18. soldier boy (y’all know he’s pretty much a warning himself), language, mentions of sex, established relationship, a little bit of grumpy x sunshine.
a/n: english is not my first language and this is my first time writing.
Tumblr media
Ben was aware you were awake for quite some time now. He knew that because even from far away in the big apartment he could not only hear your giggles while still in bed, but he could also hear all the Tiktoks you were watching. Which, by the way, he thought was the stupidest thing ever created.
He drank his coffee silently on the couch, trying to focus on the newspaper in hand. The whole supe thing was a lot, but the super hearing was what got him the most. Living in New York was noisy enough for humans, let alone for superheroes. Sometimes it took him quite a while to be able to focus on what he wanted, and you knew exactly how frustrating that could be, after all, being a supe wasn’t easy on anyone you’ve ever seen. Your case was slightly different. You weren’t a supe after all, just a demigod.
“Morning, handsome.” You purred, hugging Ben from behind on the couch and kissing his cheek before hiding your face in the crook of his neck. “Bed’s so cold without you.”
“You’re a daughter of Apollo.” He says, without even looking away from the paper.
“So? You’re a different level of hot.” Ben can’t hide the smirk on his face after hearing you. Leaving the cup on the center table and the paper on the couch, he looks at you, pulling you to his lap.
“Yeah, that’s what I’ve heard around.” You can’t help but roll your eyes. He winks at you, nonchalantly. “Thought you were gonna spend all day watching those stupid fucking videos. How are you fucking able to see the same fucking thing over and over again and still find it fucking funny?”
“Dear gods, how can you kiss me with that mouth?!” You playfully push his shoulder with a frown.
“You know I can do so much more with that mouth, Doll.” You could feel his voice getting lower and his hands start to roam over your naked legs. “Need a reminder?”
“Maybe I do.” You moved your hips a little, adjusting your positions making your ass fit perfectly where you could feel his cock. “Let’s make a deal. I’ll grant you the best head you’ve ever had-”
“Deal.”
“Let me finish!” You roll your eyes once again. “I’ll give you the best head you’ve ever had if you make a tiktok with me.”
“Fuck no.” Ben pushed you out of his lap, grabbing the empty cup and taking it to the kitchen.
“Please!”
“No.”
You followed him around like a lost puppy. “It’s a free blowjob!”
“Well, I already get lots of these. Think of something better.” Ben crossed his arms looking at you with no hints of humor.
“Period sex?” You knew how hard it was for him to spend days without fucking you when you had your period.
“Done that.” He slapped your ass before leaving the kitchen unimpressed.
“ANAL!” You yelled and Ben stopped in his tracks. Turning around slowly you regretted the whole conversation. He watched you smirking mischievously. That dirty look on his face making your panties wet.
“Grab your fucking phone, Sunshine.”
Positioning your phone at the center table was easy. The image was good and clear. You were sitting on the couch wearing one of Ben’s big shirts and he had an amused face thinking about how easy it was going to be. But well, you had your tricks.
Pressing the record button, you were fast with your words. “Ok. So, this is a simple trick I’ve learned on Tiktok and it actually works. Ready?”
Ben frowned in his place, moving closer to the camera with full attention and no idea what you were talking about or what was about to happen. “I guess.”
“From the minute I snap my fingers you’ll forget you’re gay.” Snap.
The look on Ben’s face was confused as hell. “What? I’m not gay!”
“IT WORKS!” You laughed amazed with the scene. Maybe dating an old men was really fun after all.
“What works? I’m not fucking gay, Y/N.”
“You really forgot! Oh, gods! That’s amazing.”
“Yeah, I’ll show you how gay I am while my fucking cock is deep inside that pretty little ass of yours fucking you raw.”
And you pressed the button to stop.

Y/n Pov
You knew you had to buy a new clips for his collar. You don’t have time for him to chase squirrels, you hurry after your dog. Who, usually, listens very well but decided that today he does not…
“Quinn! Get back here!” You jog after him in the street.
It’s the main street, god you hope he doesn’t run into oncoming traffic…
“Quinn!”
You see him running right up to a tall man eating a burger. Which contains Quinn’s biggest addiction, pickles..
You try to yell at the man to warn him but Quinn is faster and jumps up at him, hitting the man right into the thighs and making him loose his balance and fall backwards.
You run faster to get to them, and grab Quinn’s collar as soon as you can grip it and tug him off the man.
“Bad Quinn! oh god, I’m so so-” You look up at the man and are completely lost for words.
Before you is by far the most gorgeous specimen of men you have ever seen.
His green eyes captivate you and pull you in like a new point of gravity. You have never seen this colour of green before in someone’s eyes. They have the colour of forest lit up by sunbeams peeking through the foliage.
His face is dusted entirely with freckles who are more concentrated on his nose and cheeks. His jaw is strong and sharp. And his hair is a dark blond and wildly tossed around by Quinn’s nose currently buried deep within the strands.
“Quinn!” You tug him back to free this beautiful stranger of the assault.
You offer him your other free hand, “I am so sorry, Sir.”
He gives his hand and grabs yours tightly. You tug him to a standing position.
“Oh wow, you got quiet a grip there.” He smile and looks at you, his eyes scanning your face and then quickly going down your body.
“Are you hurt? I am so sorry… Quinn never is like this usually. Are you hurt?” You ask him.
“It’s okay, no really, I should have paid attention.” He glances at your dog and smiles, “He’s lucky he’s cute,” then looks back at you, “And that his owner is cute too.”
You don’t know what to say, your face goes red.
He holds out his hand, “I’m Dean.”
You take his hand and shake it, “Y/n, let me offer you a new burger, I insist.”
Dean looks down at where his burger fells and Quinn is trying to get it. You tug him back.
“It’s okay, I take it as a sign that maybe I should cut down on burgers a little.” He chuckles softly. “But I’m more than okay with taking you out for a coffee, Y/n.”
You like the way he says your name way too much…
“I-“ how can this gorgeous man be asking you out? He seems the type to date super models, your curves are a little more… accentuated than other females. But they help you with the heavy lifting in your job.
Your job that you are currently late for, you gasp and check your watch.
“Shit! I- I would love to but I’m already running late. I need to drop of Quinn before I go to the hospital.”
“Oh right.” He points to your uniform, “I will let you go then, but can I have your number? Perhaps we can do a raincheck?”
He gives me the most dazzling smile and you temporarily forget to breathe.
You make Quinn sit between your legs and clamp him in place. With your now free hand you grab his and grab a pen from one of your many pockets and scribble your number down on his palm.
“There, I’m down for a raincheck.” You smile and grab Quinn’s collar.
“I’ll wait for your call, Dean.” You say as you start walking away.
“I will!” he yells back.
Tumblr media
It’s been 3 days and you still didn’t receive a call. You already gave up hope after two days.
Are you surprised? Not really, he’s way out of your league.
So when your phone lights up with an unknown number the third day at almost midnight you pick up thinking it is a spammer.
“Im not interested in what you’re selling.” You answer.
“I- uhm, is this Y/n? It’s me Dean.” He sounds a little out of breath?
“Dean! Oh shit sorry, I have a lot of spammers who call me. Are you alright?” Maybe he’s the workout type of guy?
“I-“ a low grunt that instantly puts you on alert makes you sit up from your couch.
“Dean?”
“I wanted to call you sooner but something got in between, I’m sorry for calling so late but I’m driving around and I might need your nurses skills…”
He sounds in pain… and he’s driving?
“What happened? On what street are you?” You ask in a hurry.
You jump up and put the phone between your cheek and shoulder while you get your first aid kit out and ready.
He gives you the street name and you direct him towards your place.
“Tell me what happened.”
“I have a cut on my shoulder, not very deep but I’m bleeding and will need stitches.” He answers while you hear his car roar in the background.
You note how he doesn’t tell you what happened. But the info he gave is exactly what you need. You start prepping your stitch kit and gauze.
“My house is the one with the green car in front.” You say, and you can hear his car turning into your street.
“I see it.”
You run outside, hanging up the phone as he parks up your driveway.
If he wasn’t bleeding, you would admire his beautiful car. But there are more important things happening now.
You grab the door handle of the driver side and pull open the door.
“Shit.” You say when you see his sleeve drenched in blood, “ You said it wasn’t that deep!”
“It looks worse than it is.” He grunts while turning off the car and grabbing the keys.
You carefully help him out of his car and into your house.
Your hands start tingling at the smell of the blood. The magic inside you is screaming to heal this man, to knit his skin back together and fight of any risk of infection. But you don’t let it surface. You can deal with this the normal way.
You sit him down in your kitchen chair and cut away his shirt.
“Shouldn’t you buy me a drink before ripping of my clothes?” he tries to joke but you can see him wincing and you nod towards the pill and glass with water on the table.
“Take the med, it will help with the pain.”
He takes it without hesitation.
You look closely at the wound while putting on gloves and begin to clean it out.
It is deeper than you thought but stitches will be enough to close it. You do wonder how it happened. It’s a very long, clean cut. Your best guess would be a sword cut.
“So you’re a knight or something? Deep breath, I will start stitching” you warn before you pinch the needle through his skin and begin to sew his skin back together.
“A knight?” he wonders.
“It looks like you got cut by a sword.” You say while focusing carefully. You notice he doesn’t even flinch when you thread the small string through his skin.
“A katana actually, how do you know?” You can feel the prickles on your face from his intense stare searching your face.
“I’ve seen a lot of wounds at work, after a while you start to recognize them.”
“Oh yeah, that makes sense, how long have you been a nurse?” He asks you.
“Seven years in November.”
“Do you like it?” He tilts his head in question.
“It’s hard, physically, emotionally,” you sigh and make a final knot and cut off the thread, then start to wrap up as much as you can, “but yes, I love it, helping people, it’s who I am.”
“There, all finished. No tugging, keep the bandage on for at least a day. Try to keep it dry. The stitches can come out in 10 days.” You explain to him.
“Oh wow, that was fast. Okay, no tugging, no water.” he smiles, “Thank you so much.”
“I guess it makes us even for Quinn attacking your burger.” You chuckle.
At the sound of his name his familiar tipper tapper feet come running towards you and gently nuzzle your thigh. You tug off your gloves and reach down to stroke his black and white head. He peeks up at you with slightly greying eyes. Damn cataracts. He’s a little old, but he’s still perfect. He’s a medium sized dog, a border collie corgie mix. Perfect for training, and he listens well, if… there are no burgers involved.
Dean smiles at Quinn and rubs his face, “He’s so cute. I can’t blame him for wanting a burger. I would take down someone for it too.” He chuckles.
Dean glances up at me, “So I have to wait 10 days to see you again?” He asks.
“You don’t have to wait, I could change the bandage tomorrow if you’d like.” You smile and start putting away all your things.
“I’d like that, but only if you come like that.” He gives you a knowing grin and points to your Viking pyjamas.
You turn red as a beet, with his urgent call you forgot all about the way you were dressed. Your pyjamas are simple, a t-shirt and shorts, an ode to your favorite TV series. You’ve had them for years, they’re all worn out and sit tightly on your body.
With no bra, you can assure there is little left to the imagination…
“Sorry- I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable,” Dean quickly says “You look beautiful, like really.”
You start smiling at the blush that makes his freckles stand out. Even his ears, that you now noticed are slightly pointy, turn red.
“Thank you, sorry for your shirt…” you tug at his cut of shoulder part.
He shrugs, “It was old.”
You two stare at each other as the tension rises. You glance at his lips, pink and plump, perfect for kisses and many other things.
When you look up you can see his eyes were wandering towards your chest, to your hardened nipples.
He clears his throat and stands up suddenly.
“Thank you, but I should get going. It’s already late and my brother will be worried.”
“Right, yes of course, I have an early shift tomorrow so I shouldn’t be up so late. Can you drive? I can give you a ride?” You offer.
“I can, it feels much better already.” He moves his arm to proof it.
“Here,” you hand him a box with a few meds “One a day for 3 days.”
He takes it and puts in his pocket, thanking you for it.
You guide him towards the door and open it for him to leave.
“So… I see you tomorrow? At seven?”
You smile, “At seven works for me.”
He’s lingering in your door, his eyes on your face.
You take a step closer but don’t move more.
You want to kiss him…
“I – uhm..” he starts.
Quinn takes that as his cue to jump and put his front paws on the back of your knees, making you stumble into Dean. You put your hands on his chest to catch yourself.
“Oh! I’m so so-“
Your sentence is cut off by a pair of perfect lips, slanting over yours. His hand cups the side of your face while his tongue brushes your bottom lip, asking for entrance.
Which you grant him. You can’t help the moan that escapes you when his tongue dances with yours.
This kiss feels like the first rays of sun after a long winter. It’s warm, soothing, and hints at hot evenings and sweltering nights.
And then a cloud passes over and the heat slowly disappears as he pulls back.
A low whine falls from your lips as you try to chase his lips.
A chuckle sounds in your ears and makes you look up in those incredible eyes.
“At seven. It’s late and you have an early shift.” He smiles.
You don’t mind the heat crawling over your face and nod as he steps back to his car.
“At seven, drive safe, Dean.” You say when he gets inside.
You stay in your door opening until his car turns out of the street, you turn, close your door and look at Quinn.
“You sneaky little match maker.” You chuckle and bend down to pet him.
His tail is wagging excitedly.
“Thank you, Quinn.”

A/N: Another Cas fic was highly voted for so here it is! My friend helped me with the ideas! Hope you enjoy <3 (Also PETITION FOR MORE CAS GIFS)
Characters: Castiel, Reader Y/N, Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester
Pairing: Castiel X Reader
Warnings: Fluff. That's all I have to say. Lots of fluff.
Summary: You and Castiel have been friends for a little while. You've grown so close and often do everything together. Of course, it doesn't take long for the Winchesters to notice, and after a nice day with Cas, true feelings arise.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Y/N was in the kitchen making breakfast, scrambled eggs and bacon for everyone. Slowly but surely, the boys began making there way to the table, sitting and chatting about a possible hunt.
When she turned around, she smiled at the sight. She walked over with the pan and scooped food into each of their plates. "Don't worry Sam, the fake bacon is on the stove." She teased him and he rolled his eyes, standing up to fix his plate.
"It's not fake bacon, it's healthier." He muttered and Dean laughed. Once they all sat down and began eating they started discussing a case.
Y/N glanced over and noticed Castiel had finished all of his food. "Damn, Angel. That was quick." She received a small smile and a nod in return, motioning towards the food. "It was good."
The brothers looked at each other for a moment, Dean raising a brow and Sam shaking his head. "Cas, I thought you-" He started, but the younger Winchester cleared his throat obnoxiously loud and gave Dean a tense smile. "We thought you could come with us on the case."
Y/N picked up her beer and rolled her eyes, not buying their bullshit. Castiel's face contorted, a puzzled expression creasing his features. "I almost always go with you, why wouldn't I now?"
"No reason, Cas. Just makin' sure." Dean finished before grabbing his plate and setting it in the sink. "I'm gonna go get ready, meet you guys out by the car in thirty."
She got up and grabbed everyone's plate, rinsing them off in the sink before washing her hands and retreating to her bedroom. Castiel was already there, handing her the bag he packed for her.
"Cas, I am fully capable of packing my own shit." She said as she searched through the luggage, making sure she had everything she needed.
"I know, but I like to make things easier for you." He stated and she smiled up at him. "Thanks. Now let's go, I want shotgun." The angel laughed and walked her outside, his hand on her back the whole way.
Unfortunately, Sam had beat her to the front seat and she groaned. "Seriously, Winchester! You always sit shotgun, let me have a turn!" She whined and Castiel frowned at her.
"You don't like sitting with me?" He asked and she quickly shook her head. "No, no, I just-... Fuck. Fine." She stammered, reluctantly getting into the back.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When they arrived in Oklahoma, the brothers went to scout out a motel and insisted Cas and Y/N take a look around the area for anything suspicious.
The town was actually quite nice. Bright sun, markets on every block, pretty houses. While they were walking Castiel noticed a flower shop and motioned towards it. "Do you like flowers?" He questioned, and she nodded.
"Yeah, they're pretty. Do you?" She asked back, and he nodded as well. They crossed the street and went inside, the fresh scent of blooming plants flooding her senses.
"Do you want me to buy you flowers?" The angel offered and she smiled up at him. "No, Dean would be pissed if he found out we wasted our time here." She laughed a little at the thought and kept walking around, admiring the beautiful bouquets.
"But I don't think we're wasting time..." He murmured to himself with a small frown. After a moment he quickly followed her out of the store, earning a weird glance from the cashier.
"Y/N," He started and she glanced up at him. He pulled a bundle of purple flowers out from his trench-coat and handed them to her. "I wanted to get you flowers. Dean can't be mad if I didn't spend money."
She felt her cheeks warm as she studied the purple petals. "Castiel, you are aware you just stole from a shop, right?" She chuckled as he bit his lip to think. "Well, that's okay. I'm sure they can grow more."
The two of them laughed as they wandered through streets, the conversations flowing naturally. After a while she checked her phone and sighed. "We should probably get back to them."
"But they haven't called us. They said they would call us if they needed us." The angel bargained, glancing at her phone to see the time as well. "And it's not even that late." He added.
"Don't argue with me, Angel." She teased and he scratched the back of his head with a nervous laugh. "Thank you for the flowers, by the way."
"Of course. They reminded me of you." He responded and she quirked a brow. "Why is that?"
"Because they're beautiful."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After a few nights, they finally could call this a successful hunt. They went out to celebrate at a diner, Dean in the mood for nothing but pie and beer.
After the waitress came by and took everyone's order, Y/N nudged Cas. "You didn't order anything, do you want to share my plate." He shook his head and squeezed her leg. "No, I don't eat food."
"What do you mean? You eat food all the time." She questioned, a suspicious look on her face. "I don't need food. It all tastes like molecules, so I don't really care for it."
She raised a brow, confusion evident in her expression. "You eat my food." Her voice was raised at the end, as if it were a question. He nodded and smiled down at her, "I care about you."
The two Winchesters looked at each other, Dean obviously grossed out. "Get a room you two." Sam bickered and Dean widened his eyes in agreement. "For not liking food you sure do love the cheesy shit." He muttered.
"I love Y/N." Castiel said in an attempt to defend himself, but the table quickly went silent. Sam and Dean looked at each other with raised brows before glancing over at her.
"Was that inappropriate?" Castiel mumbled as he looked over at her, a slightly uncomfortable look in his eyes. She shook her head and let out an airy laugh. "No, it-... It's perfectly fine. I love you too, Cas."
The brothers broke out in an obnoxious celebration, laughing and nearly yelling at the two of them. "You lucky son of bitch!" Dean hooted, and Sam clapped his hands together in a laughing fit. "Oh that was adorable!"
Castiel looked over at her again, a bit concerned. "Why are they acting weird?" He questioned. "Because they're immature little boys." She retorted, not giving a care in the world. She moved forward and kissed the angel, a soft and quick kiss.
"I love you, Y/N."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A/N: yippee. This took me a lot of motivation but I finally finished it. THANK YOU @m1zumon6 FOR THE HELP <3 I'm sorry I didn't let them eat grass 😔
I hope you all enjoyed!
Follow, like and leave feedback! Feel free to send requests <3

The Beginning of Their Downfall: A Supernatural Series Rewrite Prequel Masterlist by @dianawinchester03

The night we met ♡ Sam Winchester
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As a young girl it was drilled into you to never be alone in the woods.
As a woman the same sentiment was echoed.
But as a hunter, you found that that warning couldn't be one that you listened to. For the sole reason of what if there was a young girl or a woman in the woods at the mercy of the very things that you were trained to hunt. Trained to kill.
You'd been a hunter for as long as you could remember, grew up on the road with your mother. Never went to a real school or met anyone your age. It was just the two of you.
Untill it wasn't.
One particularly bad hunt with a nest of vamps left you to mourn the loss of your mother, and you were alone.
And that's how you stayed.
That's how you liked it.
Sure you came into contact with men, it was always men, who thought they knew more or were better than you. But you were still standing, and they, well they were not.
Life expectancy wasn't particularly high in your line of work, it would be a miracle of you made it to your 30th birthday. It seemed that hunters either died young or seemed to live forever. You didn't know what was worse.
That being said, the earlier option seemed very likely right about now.
You were alone in the woods, in a deep fog, after killing three vamps.
It was dark and there was probably other creatures lurking in the shadows, knowing your luck there would be a vamp nest right around the corner.
What made matters worse is that the exit wasn't exactly clear. You'd lost your map, couldn't hear a road, and (rather inconveniently) there was no sighn posts anywhere.
All you could do is walk in a straight line and hope that you were going in the right direction.
Hope.
You knew the irony.
Hope wasn't worth much. Hope was a damn sure way to get yourself killed. Hope was for young girls who wished on stars, but after learning the myths behind them you had lost faith even in the night sky.
Hope wasn't somthing you would bet your life on, yet you had no choice. It was better than a prayer you supposed.
Suddenly you became aware that your footsteps weren't the only noise in the darkness. There were voices.
Two distinct low voices. Voices of men. Why was it always men?
Familiar warnings rang through your head. You knew it wasn't just monesters you were to be afraid of, sometimes there are more sinister things that lurked in the darkness. Sometimes death wasn't the worst fait to face.
Your hand griped tighter around your knife, your free hand rested on top of your gun.
The voices stopped after a rush of feverish whispers.
You were going to do something stupid.
"Who's there?" You shouted, trying to sound as stoic as possible. If they didn't know you were there they sure did now, along with anything else lurking in the shadows. It really was a stupid decision, but making stupid decisions was part of the job description and it had gotten you this far, or at least you were still alive to tell the tale.
"I'm armed and you've lost the element of surprise so why don't you do us both a favour and stop hiding!" You shouted once more, slightly more urgently this time, even you could hear the slight panic in your own voice.
A tall figure emerged from the shadowy fog, arms raised in surrender. He was tall, almost abnormally so. 'Go for the legs if necessary' you mentally told yourself, just incase he want so friendly. He took slow, purposeful steps towards you in an attempt not to frighten you, you appreciated the gesture but it did nothing to settle your concern.
As he drew closer you could look him in the eyes. And that's exactly what you did. His eyes were Hazel, almost green with a touch of gold with a sense of softness and sensitivity about them. It felt like you were reading a book, being continually drawn in till you don't even rember who you were before you picked it up. Looking at him gave you a sense of comfort you hadn't expericed before on the road. It was nice. It was terrifying.
You cursed yourself for staring too long.
"Who are you?" You questioned, bringing the tip of your knife to rest against the base of his neck, the blood from the vamps, which still coated the blade, sticking slightly to his neck. He stopped in his tracks, his arms still up in surrender.
He looked unfazed, he looked as though he understood.
"My name is Sam winchester and I'm a-" he began but you cut him off, realisation hitting you.
"Winchester? Where's your brother?" You asked lowering your knife. You knew they hunted together, and you didn't want to be ambushed unwittingly my the other.
"Hi sweetheart." Another figure said as he sauntered out of the thick trees.
You rolled your eyes at his remark, making a menal note to stay clear of him if your able to.
You could tell that the one that approached you was the younger of the two, Sam as he introduced himself, the boy with deamon blood, or at least he was.
Meaning that the older of the two, and shorter, was Dean who, unsurprisingly, greeted you slightly condescendingly.
You turned your attention back to the brunette just as he began to speak.
"Wait how do you-?" He asked suddenly, slightly confused but also a hit of relief in his voice.
"Bobby is aways talking about you boys, I mean every hunter knows about you and your serious fuck ups, but Bobby keeps saying I should catch you boys and work with you or whatever but-" you rambled on before the younger winchester cut you off.
"You know Bobby?"
"Everyone knows Bobby."
"Wait so you must be-"
He was about to say your name before, who you assumed to be Dean, cut him off.
"Yes yes nice to meet you and whatever but Sammy and I have more pressing issues to attend to." He said with a wave of his hand ushering his brother over. Only Sam didn't move. His eyes were still fixed on yours. Your eyes still on him.
"I killed the three vamps if that's what you're doing out here." You commented, directing your answer to Sam.
He furrowed his brown in confusion.
"Three?" He asked, slightly taken aback.
"Yeah?" You responded, worry consuming you. You didn't miss one did you? You didn't make a mistake, did you? Everything was so matriciously planned out surely you couldn't have-
"We thought it was just a brother and a sister." Sam interrupted your thoughts, placing a strong hand on your shoulder. He clearly read the panic on your face, it was like he'd known you your whole life. His hand on you seemed to ground you, help you think, but it made you feel almost dizzy. It was an unfamiliar feeling, a feeling you weren't sure if you liked it or not. Regardless of the fact you relished in his touch as you composed yourself enough to explain what you knew.
"No they were hunting with their father, it seemed like this town was their first solo hunts, but it all lead back to him."
Sam finally turned away, his hand falling from your shoulder to look at Dean, in response he simply nodded his head to the side. There was some sort of unspoken communication between the two.
You felt left out. You longed to know what they were thinking. You specifically longed to know what the taller of the two was thinking.
"You're sure there's no more?" Sam asked as he turned to face you once more.
"I know that there are no more that are killing people in this area, that's good enough for me."
He just nodded in response.
"Well I guess that means we're done here," Dean commented clapping his hands together, "you crazy kids what to get out of here, maybe get some pie-"
"Shut up." You cut him off. It wasn't beacsue you were opposed to getting out of the woods, quite the opposite. But you heard something or at least thought you did.
"Sweetheart, I can tell you like my brother here more than me but there is no need to be-"
"Be quiet." You cut Dean off once more as you strained your ears again, you heard another rustling sound coming from near by. You gripped your knife tighter, your thumb drawing small circles on the hilt.
Turning in the spot to get a better gauge of your surroundings you clocked both of the winchesters expressions, they heard it aswell.
"You said it was a father and his two kids right?" Sam asked poised, now holding a large knife of his own.
"Yeah," you responded in a hushed whisper.
"Any sign of a mother?" He asked hurriedly, voicing the one thing you hoped not to be true.
Shit.
You hoped you would stumble onto another hunter, but you knew this time you wouldn't be so lucky. It had to be the mother and you cursed yourself for mot even considering her.
"Sam-" you began but were quickly cut off by a figure charging from the shadows.
She was fast, but worst of all she was smart. Thats probably why none of you picked up on her.
She launched herself at you first, the well known glint of vengeance alight in her eyes. "You killed them you bitch, you killed them all!" She sceamed in your face as you tried to bring your knife up to decapitate her.
But she was fast and her clawed hand dug into the wrist where your knife was Sam and Dean rushed to your side but they were quickly pushed away, falling on the ground too far away to reach you.
"Was this the blade that killed them?" She asked as you struggled against her, "didn't even have the decency to kill me aswell?"
Blood was gushing from your wrist from her claws as she twisted your own blade towards your chest.
From the corner of your eye you could see Sam pushing himself off the floor, disappearing into the fog.
Logically he was leaving you. He didn't know you. It was in his best intrest to get his brother and go, regroup and hunt tomorrow. You know logically that's what he was doing.
But something inside you told you otherwise. Something in your head was telling you that he was coming for you. That he would save you. That you just needed to stay alive for a few more moments.
It was more than hope that you had. You knew Sam was still there. You knew he wouldn't leave you.
You could feel your knife pressing against your rib cage, you were no where near as strong as her, you tried pushing back with all your might but it was no use.
You felt the blade as it began to draw blood. You felt the pain of the rapidly growing wound. You felt yourself slowing begin to loose grip on the world around you.
"Oh I am going to enjoy watching you die." The vamp said, her words venomous against your ear.
"Not as much as I'll enjoy this." As voice said from behind the vamp.
It was Sam.
Her was there, knife above his head as he swung it round.
The vamp was quick, but she wasn't quick enough to avoid the blow of Sam's knife as he swung it and swiftly decapitated her.
Blood splattered on you as you let out a sigh of relief. Sam was here.
Sam saved you.
Sam winchester saved your life.
You wanted to run to him but the corners of your vision blured. You were dizzy. You couldn't see. You couldn't stand.
"Sam..." you managed to whisper as the world fell from beneath your feet.
You felt two strong hands wrap around you and lower you slowly to the floor. Your head rested against something sturdy, something warm.
"Hey look at me I'm here," a voice said, it was muffled, distant almost.
"You need to just hang on for me, keep your eyes open okay?" The voice asked of you and you nodded or it at least felt like you did. Your vision was blurry but your eyes were open.
"Dean hurry!" Sam shouted, panicked. Sam was holding you. Your head was against Sam's chest and you were resting in his arms.
You tried to sit up but a sharp pain shot throught you. "Shit." You mumbled, you looked down and saw the knife still in you. It was deeper that what you first thought, but it can't have been that bad you could breathe fine, it missed your lung. You were fine, right?
"Sam?" It came out as more of a question, you didn't want to admit it but you were scared.
This is how your mother died in your arms, did she feel like this too? Was she scared? Did she know she was going to die, or did she foolishly think she would live?
"Hey, hey," Sam stroked your hair soothingly, "I'm right here love, I'm not going anywhere okay?" His touched seemed to ground you, soothe you.
"Dean is coming back with medical supply's, your going to be okay."
"Okay." You replied, all you could do was look at Sam. Even when he was blurry he was beautiful. Even when it felt like the world was going dark his eyes were bright as ever.
Thoes were the last things you rember seeing before the world went black, and you finally understood why so many people warned you not go out in the woods alone.
